Otah Knee OK after MRI

You do understand that Otah has not played a full season on his knee in 2 years. Also Davis has come back from 2 more serous injuries and played more games then Otah in those two years.

Do you not see Beason cutting and going full speed in practice or do you just ignore that?

You do see whats wrong with that situation dont you? Prob not cause ignoring the clear facts is a huddlers favorite past time.

I am not sure whether Otah will EVER be the dominant player that he could be. I am not sure what is wrong with his knee. But, the recovery statistics and time for the procedure he had is much different that what Beason is going through.

Yes, Beason looks good.....in drills with no pads. I have no idea how close to full strength he will be come the start of the season. He does have an uphill battle recovering from an achilles tear. As much as most of you don't want to admit.....Beason is not a superhero with accelereated recovery powers.

I am not saying that either or both will come back and be the player they once were. Only that comparing the injuries and recovery time for a knee scope and achilles tear are comical.

No one was comparing injuries but you... I was only pointing out the fact a lot of you have more faith in Otah recovering than Beason or Davis for that matter. Yet both have showed more progress this year and in the past.

Based on their injuries, one would LOGICALLY assume that Otah has a much better chance of a full recovery this season than Beason/Davis.

The chance of recovery DOES factor the extent of the injury and the probability/statistics of recovery for said injury.

Beason.....Achilles Ruptures TYPICALLY take a couple of seasons to get back near full strength.

Davis....No one in the history of the NFL has EVER come back from 3 ACL tears in the same knee.

Otah....hundreds of players have similary knee scopes and come back in a short time.

So, yes....I would assume that Otah has a better chance at being 100% for this season than either Beason or Davis. However, that does not mean it will happen.

Yet you still keep ignoring the biggest fact of them all. Will to recover from injury and desire to play. Two things that make a world of difference and two things that it SEEMS Otah does not have. You don't see Rivera calling out Beason or Davis (he has actually made them take it slow ) but you do see that with Otah.

A clear fact is that Otah has played twice as many games as Davis in the past two years.

Otah is also a 300+ pound man. Maybe Otah doesn't want to be in a wheelchair at 35. Maybe playing football isn't worth fans thinking he is tough. There are a lot of dumbass football players and we call them tough.....reality is they really are dumbasses. Otah plays when he is healthy. Knew that when we drafted him.

also, since he was drafted in 2008 - Otah has played more games than Davis

I have no real agenda or opinion or suggested solution regarding either of these guys. It just bugs me when people make up their "facts".

Debating with you is liking banging your head against a wall....futile.

I am NOT saying that Otah will recover and play this season. Only that statistics say he has a MUCH better chance than either Beason or Davis......and that is a FACT.

.

worse and worse all the time. they fight like school girls around here, refusing to process anything logical and insisting that they are correct to the point where they might defend some random comment or hypothesis about a football player they never have and never will even meet with their very life.

this forum gets more and more comical as the years pass. more fans in our case seems to equate to more dumbasses

    • I have been looking for a dropped pass list and all that comes up is QBs. And team stats. When I do receivers I get the passing stats for a handful that threw passes this year.    I wanted to be accurate but anyhow I was looking because thought I remembered reading where T Mac had more drops than XL this year.  One of you many smarter than me people here,I would appreciate it if you know how to pull that up, please do. Thank you.    And yeah I know that isn’t all there is to it I just thought it was interesting.  Of course what the hell is a drop lol.
    • I agree with this and I think it's worth mentioning too that Bryce is not consistent on his placement and especially velocity and that in large part is driven by his footwork. We all know XL doesn't have the best hands and I don't know that he can overcome that. Cam always had the heater that just hit your hands and sank into your grip, where Bryce has some that are harder thrown, some soft. Bryce stepping into a pass looks so much different than that hop throw thing he does. I think XL really needs to hit the jugs machine and start learning how to catch all these different touch passes. TMac and Coker don't have these issues. If XL doesn't get some work in he's going to be out of the league in the next couple of years.
    • I think most people like XL from a personal standpoint. I don't think he's stupid either. Although if we are being realistic he is lacking in football IQ at this point in time and it cannot be disputed that he has not taken working on his craft seriously at all times given the body of work on the field. It speaks for itself. I myself have defended him at times given the circumstances of our QB room. But he is now in his third year and 25 years old. We are not in a position as a franchise to go around babying anyone especially first round draft picks. He needs to take his position and his football career seriously or he is going to end up selling used cars somewhere. I hope he realizes this and takes an extended break from social media because that mess certainly isn't going to increase his net worth if he ends up out of the league. And these hanger on types will disappear quick too once that money dries up and it surely will eventually. We'll see how he responds.
