Most abusers are made not born that way. It is caused by environmental factors not genetics. The problem for pedophiles is that they prefer children not adults. Asking them not to abuse children is like asking a normal person never to have sex with a woman or man again. Most people don't stop they just get more sneaky about it.

Getting a life sentence will be a death sentence in itself. Even convicts cant stand child molesters

He would be put into a cell by himself for that reason and not congregate with other inmates. They have actual cell blocks just for dirty cops, snitches, and pieces of poo like him.

The problem with pedophiles is there is no cure. There is no rehabilitation or correction. They will be pedophiles till the day they die. I wonder how many people out there have those sick thought and never act on them. It's probably an every day struggle to do the right thing for some people.

I'm glad I read that because it's a good reminder to never assume. Never waste a chance to help a situation.

It is incredibly easy to get to a guy that's in AdSeg. Especially when it's a guy that prison guards with children will have zero desire to protect.

Lord on a tangent, I hope I never do anything wrong. Prison sounds like hell on earth. Think about that guy that was just exonerated in Cali.

I did 13 months in San Quentin when I was 19. It was really shitty and monotonous.

It's cruel and unusual. The state has no business murdering anyone. The case where the father protected his child is different. He caught the subject while he was engaged in serious sexual assault. By definition of the law he can use deadly force. He did so accidentally.

The state does not murder a person convicted of a capital crime. It removes him from our midst. He is judged no longer worthy to share the air of law-abiding people. It punishes him.

It's not murder.

I think the message I got from that article was really about making sure you are listening and watching your kids behavoir, encouraging them to be truthful and honest and maintaining an open flow of communication with them. I know I try to do this with my kids but the larger message is that as a society we should be doing that for any kids that are in our sphere of influence.....

I believe 100% a pedi can not be rehabilitated, they only stop when they are caught, the only real deterent is castration

Castration is not a deterrent just as the death penalty isn't for most criminals as most don't think they will be caught. It deters normal people like you and me who wouldn't kill someone or molest them anyway. And BTW, castration wouldn't necessarily stop someone from committing sex crimes either. And not all offenders are male although the large majority are. Just sayin...............

Seems to be working just fine in the Czech Republic, and from reasearching a bit it seems as if other countries are considering adopting it as a practice....your argument against castration and the death penalty is more morality based then data driven. Simply, the US has not adopted this practice so no real data is present because no studies have been done. Articles written about the veracity of this as a detterent seem to be mostly OP ED pieces written by folks that speak to the morality of castration, and apply meaningless opinions to support their belief that it is wrong. I say try it, take a study where you surgically castrate half of the study and chemically castrate the other half and see what the results are. As far as women pedi's, I don't have a solution for them, I am more concerned about the men because they represent as you said the larger portion of this population

      Little light hearted topic.. For whatever reason Cam Newton doesn't appear in Madden ultimate team every year for whatever reason like most legends. I personally believe it's due to them robbing him of appearing on the cover of the video game series during his peak years winning NFL rookie of the year and the MVP super bowl run.  Needless to say I'm a huge Competitive Madden ultimate team player spending hours of days crunching numbers and churning roster management. When this was announced it was a lightening rod in the Madden community. Competitive players know Newton is a game changer.. Your talking fastest quarterback in the game and highest throwing power in the game when he drops. That a long with. Unheard of ability at quarterback like freight train the ability to run over linebacker and corners and I was stoked. I m ashamed to say how much money threw at the game to try to pull newton and failed  But it's a big deal seeing as every pro Madden player most certainly has to have him on their roster and the card art is pretty sweet.

      A few different ways this can be taken depending on how you view things: Negative: This coaching staff is so inept that players are having to practically beg them to put them in situations that we as fans have been screaming for. How could David Tepper and Bryce Young do this to us? Positive: The coaches are listening to the players who are trusting the coaches! Neutral: Collaboration can lead to good things, so hopefully this starts the upward trend we've been waiting for.

      I've been trying to tell y'all since preseason that Brycen Tremayne is the missing piece. 😛 XL, TMac, Coker, and Tremayne all dumpstering DBs when the team runs out of 10 personnel will be hilarious.
