Beason and Cam about to be on NFLN

Recommended Posts

Man I hate TWC....Anybody here an update on when NFLN and TWC will work out a deal?

Summary?

I tuned in at the Beason interview. Not sure if there was anything before that.

Andrew Sisciliano asked him how it was watching Cam do what he did from the sidelines. He said it was tough to be watching, but exciting.

They asked him, knowing what the offense can do, if it fell on the D to win games. He said yes and he wouldn't want it any other way. He said that's the way it was for a long time in the past, the defense winning games. (My favorite part)

They asked him about his response to Alex Smith's comment. He said he knew where Smith was coming from, but that it rubbed him the wrong way how he called out Cam specifically. Said that the team is a family and they protect each other.

They asked him about the Bounty scandal and Vilma. He said that a bounty is a bounty and should be dealt with as such. Said that it was tough to determine whether the punishment should be for 3 or 8 or 16 games though.

They asked him about Drew Bree's contract situation. He said the Saints**** have been the top dog in the division because of Brees, that the Saints**** probably wouldn't be in New Orleans anymore without him, and that he'd been franchised and then gotten injured before, so he is due getting paid.

Then they talked about Cam's stats a little bit and how he cam improve. Sapp said he needs to nit-pick at himself to get better. Heath Evans said he shouldn't be afraid to pick up the phone and call Brees, Brady or Manning for advice.

Then they went to Michael Fabiano talking about fantasy football. Showed that Cam had the 3rd most fantasy poins behind Brees and Rodgers. Said he is a top 12 draft pick, but that with Tolbert, Deangelo and Stewart are #3 fantasy backs at best. Said LaFell is poised to have a breakout fantasy year.

    • Why not? Dude was tough as nails. Came off the field after a vicious hit and showed the coach how his ring finger was knocked out of socket halfway up. You could see the shock on Fox's face. Brad just  pulled  on the finger, grimaced, got it back in alignment and went back in for the next play and blew up an opposing linebacker or two. Dude is legendary.
    • Motown let on like he'd like to play at least another 5 years in his presser. I fell he was truthful and us fans over did his knee. The guy started like 108 starts in a row and only missed like 2 games over each of the past years.  I think as long as the team agrees with his value that Motown has, he will sign another contract extension to push the void years into the 2030s.  OLmen can play at high levels up til 40. Trent williams is doing it, Richie Incognito leftd and came back to play until he hit 38. Lane Johnson is still playing at a top level while 38. You member Greg Van Roten, he's somehow still playing at 36 and he started here after being a substitute teacher years before. If you are able to get over the 32 year bump, its possible to reach 38 with luck. Colleges do a poor job of preparing new OLmen, many times that vet is better.   Rams were begging Andrew Whitworth to come back while he was 39, if you got the genes, luck and still willing to put in the hard work....it is possible to play until 38 as a OLmen*starting level*
    • Shaq was a fantastic LB, he just happened to have been standing in the shadow of a Panthers great and a Hall of Famer. He was team-lead starter quality for all 32 teams of the NFL. Don't throw shade on him, he was never just a guy.
