im just sayn MKG is the safest pick to not be a bust, and we really cant miss right now with the situation were in, if we could afford a miss id be more open to taking drummond

I guess that depends on whether you think a guy who will average about 8ppg with th #2 pick is a bust or not.

MKG will have a place on a NBA team, but as a role player.

Bradley Beal is just as athletic and can actually shoot.

The question is whether the Bobcats believe there is no bit of difference between Barnes, Robinson, Beal, and Gilchrist.

If they don't think there is, then they trade #2 for #4 & #24 if that's what they can get, and you pick between whichever two are there at #4.

If they do believe there's a difference, then they may as well pick that person at #2 instead of risking him not being there at #4.

Like I said, if they actually want Barnes, there's no guarantee he'll be there at #4. Cleveland may get him #2 because they wouldn't be criticized for it because they have a good PG who's friends with the guy. If Cleveland picks Beal instead, Washington would likely choose Barnes, and they wouldn't be criticized either, because they have Wall. If the Bobcats had a star PG, they wouldn't be getting ripped as much for the possibility, or maybe they would, since the media seems intent on trying to force the Bobcats to make the lowest-risk, lowest-reward pick, instead of the highest risk, highest reward pick...based on their (the media's) projections.

Funny how everyone is discussing a trade scenario that is NOT what the article said.

We would NOT get the #4 and #24 picks for our #2.

We would get the #4 and #24 picks for our #2 AND #31 pick.

Show me that in writing, because I haven't seen the #31 included anywhere.

UPDATE:

Otherwise, I continue to hear that it's possible that Cleveland (Nos. 4 and 24 in the first round and Nos. 33 and 34 in the second round) will move up to take Charlotte's No. 2 spot in order to land Beal.

This sounds more like a Cho deal than the original 2 and 31 for 4 and 24.

EDIT: Another interesting tidbit from the same article

Kentucky small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Beal remain possibilities as well, but those who know Charlotte general manager Rich Cho best expect him to swing a deal. Coming off a season with a record-low winning percentage of .106, the Bobcats need so much help that they'd be well served to come out of this draft with more than one addition.

See, I read that earlier but I wasn't sure if it was just listing all of the Cavs picks or stating that the Bobcats would get all those picks for the 2nd pick.

If they could do that,

Pick 4, 24, 31, 33, and 34 would be awesome.

Yeah, I'm not sure either now. All four picks from cleveland would be tempting. Giving the 'Cats five draft picks this year.

If this goes down..typical CHO.

EDIT: The reason I thought it meant all the picks is because the did not list our picks the same way..making one to believe they were included in the trade.

IDK

I personally think the trade will happen. Charlotte gets #4, #24, #33 from cavs

We take Barnes #4, package #24, #31 and move back into the 15-20 range and take Perry Jones. Use #33 on Jared Cunningham.

If we could package picks I would rather move up and get Meyers Lenorad.
