Never done a linear draft but it sounds absolutely dumb...

Linear

- The team with the first overall pick selects, followed by the team with the second pick, third pick and so on. The draft order that is established in the first round will be the order that picks are selected throughout the entire draft. In other words, the order in the first round is used in all rounds and never changes.

So basically, if I pick 1st in a 16 team league, I'd go 1, 17, 33, etc.

And if I pick 16th, I'd be 16, 32, 48, etc.

How in the world is that even fair/a good idea or am I just not understanding the process?

So far the votes are for Random Snake. Which is what I'm used to. But Linear Is very self explanatory.

First round

1st pick

2nd pick

3rd pick

Second round

It repeats itself. if you had the 3rd pick you're picking 3rd in the second round. And so on and so forth.

Snake is freaking awesome and fuged up at the same time.

first round

1

2

3

4

Second round

4

3

2

1

Third round

1

2

3

4

Etc etc. So whoever picks first in the first round won't pick until the last pick of the second round, then be first in the third round. Strategy would be encouraged.

The Huddle is far to large for just one league. You guys should def get another ffl going. This one will be the greatest and most bestest of all leagues in this here universe, but maybe the winners of the leagues can do a champions championship.playoff league.

    • you could even divide it up by division and conference with a similar seeding to the actual playoffs, culminating in it’s own Super Bowl.
    • Regression to the mean causes Tepper to give up on Bryce.  Six wins and we get the number seven draft pick and take Brendan Sorsby Texas Tech QB.
    • The pro bowl should be brought back, it should be in Honolulu with proper marketing and eyes on it, it should be the nfl subsidizing a week long vacation for guys with their families-with that the one big change to make is to get rid of the fan voting. Have each send a collection of five or six guys they deemed their best and if the rosters get a little wonky personnel-wise, that’s okay. That’s part of the fun. short of that, the only other thing I could recommend is having a similar set-up-no fan voting, teams selecting their best players, and sending them to compete against the chosen players from 31 other teams in real Olympic level sporting completions to see who comes out on top.   seeing the panthers delegates beat the disgusting saints delegates up for the Gold in the rowing competition or the 4x100 relay would actually feed into the competitive nature of fans and give them something to root for. you could even have under armour sell the logo cladded up team gear that the pros wear in these games for money, this stuff basically writes itself if the nfl wasn’t trying to use this event help sell the idea that no defense and lots of passing is a GOOD THING and you LOVE THIS and THE GAMES SHOULD BE MORE LIKE THIS.
