It takes almost nothing to be able to be a trainer.

Got a few hours and $100?  Congrats, you are now a certified personal trainer.

I've considered it... I could sure as hell do a better job than those yoyo trainers in my gym.

Hell, I been "training" Joscott since June and he is now a beast.

Didn't say what I was training him in tho...  :)

I did deadlifts yesterday. I only worked out twice last week so the weight felt a little heavy yesterday. However I attempted to do 305 which is a big deal to me because I'm trying to break the 300 barrier. I got about 85% of the way and just couldn't get that last pull up.

I punished myself for it with sets of 10 at 225 and 180 but I just had to try it and see if I could. For the record I'm pretty careful with my back and stuff so I'm not looking to hurt myself but I've been doing DL's for months so I had to give it a go.

I've had several people come up to me in the gym and tell me to be careful and whatnot...

If you're doing them properly they are perfectly safe, even at heavy weight.

Keep working it man...  do some sumo lifts, work on your leg press and squat and your lower back... all those will help your dead.

I'm trying to increase my lung capacity. The years I smoked are definitely a limiting factor right now. I want to run a 10k in under 40 minutes and do a few mud runs.

10k in 40 minutes is some serious running.

Try swimming and going out west to run the rockies. run a 10k at 10k+ feet; 40 minutes will feel like a light jog.

I know this has been discussed in here before, but...

Stim-free pre-workouts.  Any recommendations?

Thinking about Twinlab Nitric fuel.  I like the short ingredients list and I know what everything is.

Thoughts?

Define stim free... you including caffeine in that?

I don't like anything with crazy poo in it...   Like Jack3d.  That made me way too jittery.

definitely no caffeine and no yohimbine.  I don't want my heart to flutter, and also I work out after 9:00 pm, so I don't want to be up all night.

I don't got much for you then... pretty much all the ones I use have caffeine.

I start my workout at 5 most days, so it's not an issue for me... sorry.

10K in 40 minutes? Getting in a 5K in sub-20 time is booking it. You want to double the distance and keep the same pace? Might want to set some goals in between now and then.

Here's the profile for Nitric Fuel... Too much BA?  Will I want to peel my skin off?

BA doesn't bother me... but that's me.

I don't feel it on my face... I get tingles down my arms... and I like it...

I know Cat said it makes her feel crazy.

I'm on Optimum Nutrition Pre atm and it has half of that in one scoop, honestly I could stand some more.

    • Yep. I was hoping for and calling for a day three guy. But I didn’t research the position to say if we should or should‘t have jumped at a particular guy at a particular spot.    And everything I read said it was a poor draft for RBs depth wise. I guess when Seattle takes a backup RB in the 1st, that kind of backs that up.    I definitely think we should keep 4 running backs and if King can play well enough then keep him too.    I believe I heard Canales say we are a running team (talking about drafting a WR he will be needing to block as well as catch). Well if we are gonna be a running team by identity we don’t need to stock the WR room to overflowing. If one room has to sacrifice, it should not be the RB room given our circumstances.
    • If there's a pattern I'm definitely picking up from Dan and company is a philosophy of making trades where we try not to sacrifice the number of draft picks we have by day's end. In other words, we're not giving up three picks for one, or giving up a future pick to make a pick today. And even if we give up something at the start, we make trades later to make up for that initial loss. Here's how it stacked up for 2026: How we started: 19, 51, 83, 119, 158, 159, 200 How we ended: 19, 49, 83, 129, 144, 151, 227 (no future picks sacrificed) Ultimately, we moved up two spots in the second to ensure we got someone we coveted, gave up a few spots for our fourth round pick, but then had better picks in the 5th (and got really good value out of them), and had a worse 7th rounder which isn't that big of a loss anyways.  At this point, we can question who they draft, but they're pretty good maneuvering across the draft board.
    • I just saw the funniest thing...or very disappointing, depending how you handle misery. A guy on YouTube did a 2027 'way too early' mock draft.  If I told you the simulator has the Panthers selecting in the top 10 , what would you say?  If I told you it was pick #8 and only two QBs were taken in the top 7, what would you say?  If I told you this dude had us taking a defensive player, what would you say?
