I find this article by Mike Florio pretty funny.

I'll concede that but how can you reasonably dispute the other facts?

Biggest thing there is "We had no idea Cam would rape the NFL's face" This I agree with. Everything else is true, but enter into what-if land. I have no problem with keeping DWill its the $ that bothers me.

.

yes because we so often go after high profile free agents. The biggest free agent we have targeted is Ken Lucas since Hurney came here.

Signing tons of NAMES rarely breeds success.

We are on the same page there! I was just disputing the other guys claim.

.

And everything was what if land(hence the insurance), the money does suck to a degree but has not stopped us from going about our usual approach of targeting free agents. To assume that if Hurney did not sign Williams, he was going to use that money on a killer corner or pass rushing threat is silly to believe. Hell we could have had Samuel for a 6th and passed. We have the cap room to pay him.

Don't you guys ever tire of rehashing the same arguments over and over?

This issue (DWill vs Stew and cap $ allocation) is going to be addressed one way or the other after this season. They are both here for this year and it's likely nothing will happen with Stew's contract until the offseason.

Who knows what will happen this year? Perhaps Cam and our younger receivers will show enough development that Marty and Ron feel we can ease off on our commitment to the running game. Maybe DWill starts to show his age. Maybe Tolbert proves to be more effective at the things Stew has been used for.

Let's let the season play out and argue about it when we have better information.

Very true on the Samuel part.

I agree with you on the addressing rb part at some point, but you'd pretty much rehashing this argument too by giving your pint just now. So guess you're not tired of it too. ;)

How many fuging running backs do you need to have a "good" running game?

We have 3 that could start on half of the leagues offenses.

so?

i swear people talk like that's something to be embarrassed about or like it's a bad thing. it's an incredible strength (one of several) of this team that is being built around, as it should.

Different team has different system and players. NO has Brees. We dnt, we have Cam. Totally different Qbs. Brees doesn't need star backs. Cam is a second year player who grew faster than anyone had thought, but hes still learning everyday. It would be wise to have Stew and Dwill takes off some weight off Cam's shoulders.

having Cam we need less in the backfield...not more.

It would be wise to invest in a D and passing targets for him. Cam and an average RB who fits the scheme would cause teams fits. Cam needs a D and more playmakers in the passing game ones who make him look good and don't always need perfect throws.

Teams will always be worried about the rushing attack even in an empty backfield bc of Cam (at least while he is young, at that will be a long time)

So you're saying you want Cam to run more? Do you really want to see Cam run more? Not me.

I'm assuming you're retarded or something because New York literally had the worst rushing offense in 2011. They struggled to get 100 yards rushing AS A TEAM in the super bowl.

The Packers were also in the bottom of the league in rushing in 2010 and literally had 50 yards rushing in the super bowl that year.

So basically you're just a dumbshit who did nothing but list every playoff game from the last two years and assumed the team who won ran the ball better won the game.

"Retard", where were you at the whole entire time? Now, youre just finally getting into this debate. Its over already. Just save your "dumbshit" time and be glad we have three studs in the backfield. You dont need to say anything, I know you're one of them who doesnt like the fact we gave Dwill a contract last year. Save it and get back at me on another time on another topic.
