I unfortunately have had to watch that show during quote "quality time" with wifey and I kid you not, it would not surprise me at all if tht chick was the one that actually started with him e.g...punched him upside the head etc...she has a history.......that being said, Chad was dumb for even gettin involved with that chick, she is and always will be a

What's crazy is I recall back when I was in college around the mid 2000s, Smitty was always over looked for guys like TO, Moss, Johnson, Hines Ward.

I know Moss and TO are still playing but they are beyond the twilight of their careers. #89 still bringing it.

This whole thing sounds like a pure set up. He just married the woman a month ago. And like him or not, he hasn't any background in DV but this woman has had tons of issues with starting fights and bullying other women, even in her reality shows. But it's Chad and as far as the gods in our media is concerned, he has way to much confidence for their tastes and is happy when bad thing happen to him.

I'm sure if this had been Peyton Manning it would be quickly played down, if heard about at all like the way ESPN treated the first rape charges against Ben Rothliesburger.

Can the Miami Dolphins find a wide receiver that doesn't beat up women?

Where did it states that Chad hit anyone. For all we know it could have easily been the woman who headbutted him. Nice way of getting away with her behavior because he will be the one getting the blame 9 out of 10 times.

Think about it. If she had hit him, he could have charged her with DV but if she headbutts him and knowing how he's already perceived in the media, who do you think folks will believe? She's going to receive the injury much faster because he's an athlete and she's a female.

Everyone knows who she is and her background, and sylvians post was a joke about Brandon Marshall. Don Quixote has nothing on you.

    • yeah, Steve was basically like on any actual topic that approached his flaws/problems.....89 went with the long winded, try to sound like a wise man strategy of just basically just pleading the 5th (and sprinkling in the idea that others could of been wrong or wrong too).   also, in terms of the assaults and stuff like that....it feels like old 89, I feel has sort of forgotten his well-documented confessions and apologies about that aspect and era of his and was trying to re-write his story/image in hindsight.   And in all honesty, it seemed like a PR move on the twitter/cheating stuff also attempting to play himself as not the bad guy some think with the intentional vague suggestions. and the Pivot and all these athlete moves to basically take the reigns and power from traditional outlets exposes they have just as bad as flaws if not more often than the traditional media folks.  I mean I do like the free form long talk when dudes are telling stories but all this stuff is largely flawed and controlled PR often.
    • Sadly, I agree and I’m a huge Melo fan. Might be time to ship him out. Don’t want to make the same mistakes the Pels did. They should’ve gotten rid of Zion two years ago.
    • I forgot he was on the team and I'm pulling for him, but the statistics are not in his favor.  Some guys can recover from injuries and others cannot and let's hope Brooks is the former.  He was a beast in high school and college.
