Lauren tannenhill, DUH

Speaking of which, if you go to HBO.COM, they have the first episode of hard knocks for free.

It was just about the beginning of camp, so it was hard to get an idea of the depth chart/qb battle for them, but their wife depth chart was very clear.

Mrs. Tannenhill

Mrs. Moore

Mrs. Garrard

As in all pre-season games, my focus will be on the young guys and the unsettled roster spots.

Someone mentioned Fua being at DT with Edwards. That would likely only happen in goal line/short yardage situations (jumbo package).

I look forward to seeing Norman of course. He doesn't have to do anything spectacular, just be good enough that throwing to his side isn't a gimme like it often is with Captain.

Keep an eye on guys like Chandler and Von Bergen and Nwagbuo. As someone else mentioned, Neblett's "illness" has me concerned.

It will also be interesting to see who comes out with the starting D at safety. Will it be Nakamura again? If so, that means he probably has a pretty tight hold on the starting FS spot.

    • Got to talk to Tiny Lister once back when I worked for AT&T.  He was a nice guy.
    • The team signed undrafted rookie JJ Weaver from Kentucky. The 25-year-old Weaver played six seasons in college (with injury waivers), and had 21.5 sacks. He was a three-time team captain for the Wildcats. To make room for him on the roster, the Panthers released outside linebacker Amare Barno. Barno, a sixth-round pick in 2022, tore his ACL late in the 2023 season and began last year on the physically unable to perform list. He had 3.0 sacks in three seasons, appearing in 29 games. Sad to see. He seemed to have a lot of potential when he was drafted. Injuries really derailed him though.
