3rd Reciever Spot

Sooooo... who do you think is in the lead in as the slot reciever? My choice would be Murphy right now, though there were a too many 'almost plays' for my liking during the game. He was targetted a lot, and I think for good reasons. Hopefully these guys keep getting better.

PS. Gettis needs to get back quick.

murphy has shown the most promise. fast and shifty with great routes. he definitely deserves the nod over gettis. who can't seem to make it back from injury. may god. only the huddle would hand deliver a starting job to a injured-prone receiver over a 3rd year pro...

In order for me, excluding Gettis:

Murphy

Pilares

AE

Tutu

Murphy is inconsistent, but I think getting most snaps with Cam would help some.

Tutu is Nannee 2.0 as far as I can see. Crappy routes, waits for the ball instead of attacking it, looks lethargic at times.

I keep hoping to see some of the bottom feeders get some reps with the 1's and see how they do. Once Anderson comes in the offense changes and with Jimmy it just stops,

Murphy looks decent

Tutu...made an awkward jump for a pretty pass in the endzone in game 1...then slipped on a route and bobbled it for a pick INT

Game 2...ball hits him in the chest for a drop

The good ones don't have this kind of garbage happen. They run clean...get vertical...and catch with their hands....

Tutu....here are some peanuts and a plane ticket. See ya

One thing we have to keep in mind is that there needs to be someone who can play the Y reciever spot - someone to backup LaFell as the possession reciever. I HOPE that Murphy can do that, or Gettis if he gets healthy. What I don't want to see is Tutu getting a job just because he, on paper, can play that spot.

Smith

LaFell

Murphy

Pilares

Adams

Gettis

    • He was so much fun to watch as a player but is a prototypical example of the old "never meet your heroes" adage. Great player, not a great guy.
    • Look.... if us BY "haters" give credit about his GWDs...... Will the BY stans also have honest discussion about the 55minutes before the last 5 in which BY has put up 9/20 for 78 yards 0 TDs???
    • The way they are handling now is how they should have handled it from the start instead of that you get a series, you a get a series. Let Chuba spell until he had some of his step back.  We definitely could have put a better showing against Buffalo and their weak run defense had we employed the same game plan we did against Green Bay. Saints were determined to stop the run and make Bryce beat them, Atlanta had similar plan and the coaches and Bryce were able to respond.  Rico although didnt have the best rushing game was vital in the passing game and his catch and run help get us into the redzone there at the end of regulation probably should have been a touchdown that out of bounds was a judgement call it wasn't conclusive and thus should have went with the original call on the field.  Roco brings that dawg to the offense that it shorely lacked up until Miami game. Interesting it was his call that help seal the win for us, glad the coaches were listening. Hope they can get a deal done and run it back next year.
