What significant players are out tonight besides the bearded brawler?

I'm wondering what the reasoning is for not putting him on the PUP along with Gettis. He hasn't practiced once since camp began and is therefore eligible. Why Gettis and not Hogan?

This is significant because you cannot be put on the regular season PUP list unless you have been on the preseason PUP list. So if you aren't eligible, you either have to be on the 53, on IR, or cut.

I agree, but I wouldn't want another 'Otah' case either. Loads of potential, but not healthy. I wouldn't mind putting him in IR once again and having him heal up properly and give him a shot next year. After that, if he goes down again, cut him.

I agree, should Hogan be entirely too fragile to play the sport of football, I doubt he'll last long.. But damn, from what I've seen he looks like a baller. What one good draft pick could do to solidify that CB spot, especially if Norman turns out to be legit..

As a further clarification, apparently we can still add him to the preseason (active) PUP as long as we do it before the end of the preseason. He could then be added to the regular season (inactive) PUP. This is based on seeing a transaction today in which a player from another team had been just added to their PUP today.
