Why Clausen and Edwards are Panthers

Draft picks are generally given EVERY chance EVERY year, no matter what organization it is.

Rare is the organization that will admit error after only two years. It ain't just Hurney.

I can name many many examples of franchises moving on after 1 or 2 years.....it isn't actually that rare. Rare here.

The reason they are on the team is because individuals FAR smarter than anyone here thinks they should be. Period. No one here would ever even remotely have a chance to be a GM or HC. Everything this FO does is right compared to the viewpoints on this sitre because those individuals making the decesions are better than any one here. Not a hard concept to grasp.

Actual reasons:

The other wide receivers we had were either awful or too noob.

Hurney really wants to keep 3 QBs.

Edwards is a converted QB who has never made a NFL catch....he is as noob as anyone.

Hurney said he likes the QB room is as why Jimmy is staying. LOL....he couldn't even talk about Clausen's play, potential or fit in the offense. Cam probably likes to goof on Mr. Supercut and they have fun....sort of what Hurney implied. They get along....therefore he earns a roster spot. I bet a lot of guys wished meshing in the meeting room was all it took....

The shepherd and sheep concept again. Don't try to think outside the box. Think what you are told to think.

The examples you'd list, compared to the ones that are kept, would be VASTLY outnumbered.

True. But it is easy to name a franchise that has parted with a draft pick early on....so it isn't rare that you can go through every team and name

a mistake they admitted to.....just not Carolina

Edwards is here because Gettis is on the PUP and Tutu failed to capitalize on numerous opportunities. He probably wont be here after week 6.

Clausen is here because he is a 3rd string QB. Most teams have a 3rd string QB. Miami even kept 4.

Name a team with a 3rd string QB that doesn't fit the offense has no potential to develop into a player to run their offense?

I am all about 3 QBs. I am about 4 counting practice squad. A warm body isn't a reason though....

I said this earlier!

Clausen is Cams little bitch boy. I'm sure he goes on all the food runs, and know Cams order by heart.

"God Damn it Pickles I said extra cheese, take this poo here back, and pick me up some more of them damn sunflower seed"

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
