You want comedy? Ok. How bout this.

Somebody make a tampon mascot suit and wear it to the game and pass out free Tampax tampons. They will be easy to spot, they all should have red on and be really irritable.

Why somebody else? Why not you?

Because you are a douche tryng to prove your worth to the huddle vets so you can shed your camwagon fan label...lol

That's my worry. However, if it DOES, you still don't push the issue. Don't want to ruin him by throwing him to the wolves. He'll have to face some good receivers in this season in the limited role he'll play. Don't want to throw potential pro-bowl caliber guys at him too soon. Sure, he faced Smitty all camp. Sure, he held his own for a young guy. However, we have to let his progression come naturally. Let him get the feel for what he's doing. I'm sure when he's in he'll be playing a hook zone, a quarter zone, or man and that's about it. Very simple stuff. Don't want him worrying about where he ends up in rolling coverage in the 4-3 and stuff like that (from what I can tell, we mix it up a lot as far as who plays robber in our 4-3 look).

With all respect, If they did this with Cam, Keek, Silo, and others... why not Norman too? You don't think Keek will be facing incredible TEs, or Silo will be taking on DTs that could have a shot at the probowl? Or that Cam, when asked to start the season last year, would have delivered anything short of the incredible performance that he did?

Not trying to be snarky or attack anyone here, but we're about to toss those two rookies into the deep end, and we asked for and had delivered the world by Cam last year. So, why not get the guy onto the field who, just by physical measurables, is an automatic upgrade over the incumbent starter? My personal experience is that I prefer being thrown into the fire, rather than be molly-coddled and brought along "slowly." From all that I've heard out of camp, I feel that Norman has the same mindset; that he has the type of personality that lives for challenges... and hurdles them.

Whoever your #2 is, Mike Williams will pwn him like the Bucs pwn the panties.

The panthers secondary must get high before games because the way Sanchez and the jets ripped through them, they looked stoned, slow, and scared.

There's a specific forum for this kind of crap. If you'd like to talk football, by all means stick around. If all you want to do is trash talk, take it to the correct place to do so.

Don't be that annoying guy who can't tell the difference between the forums.

It's fairly simple. Coverages change in the nickel. Captain can get by with 3-over/3-under coverages. In the nickel though, you'd rather have Norman playing man, quarters, etc.

And you're basically right. I think it's about breaking Norman in slowly. Give him a limited role and keep it simple on him when he gets in on certain packages. If he shows out and proves himself, you give him more. Captain slips up and if Norman can play the boundary well, he will eventually earn the #2 spot.

Captain will start but I wish he wouldn't even play, let alone start. He's one of the worst CBs in the league, period. I'd rather see Norman and Thomas get time ahead of him. On 3rd downs or in big moments Captain is always targeted by opposing teams. Similar to the way teams run at Fua when he's in the game. It's time to move on.

I am replying after only reading the first page.

That's because it's the first page of a topic I can remember in a while where people actually discussed football, added some humor, and nobody found it necessary to talk about how stupid the post/poster, etc. was.

I'll read the rest now and see how long it continues.

    • Outside of cerrato, I do like our draft overall. Hard to get can't miss draft picks when you pick late in the draft
    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
