Stewart took the majority .. but DeAngelo did take a few ..

He actually didn't take a few. People just assume he did. Not worth getting into.....We debated it before and no one could show a single play of Williams doing the zone read from the spread. They confused option pitches as him being involved.

Spread read option looks were Stewarts thing. Pistol and option pitches Williams got in on....read option plays to Williams weak areas. Which is why it was all Stewart....plus that is an awkward option despite looking easy and Stewart had done it for years

Williams never ran the spread option - zone read stuff last year. People confuse him taking a couple option pitches meaning he did the zone read stuff out of the gun....he didn't.

Stewart did it in college and took all those plays last year.

Stewart is the ideal RB for this team. It hurts. But we have good runners at least. Nothing wrong with saying it stings. That doesn't mean we can't run it down there throats. Running those with Williams isnt smart....better to run him in looks that play to his strengths

It'll be fine. Just because Stew was the only one who did it in games last year doesn't mean that none of our other backs are capable.

LOL, typical huddle response....nowhere did I state or imply it.

Williams is a beast. Stewart is just the spread option RB.....so it sucks that tiny aspect won't be showcased. Don't just make up stuff....problem here is people will read your post and assume I said that.

I'd rather Williams beast on Tampa abusing them on the outside.

Why run him inbetween the tackles putting that quirky read handoff on him?

.. typically in the regular season he does get outside .. for some reason in the preseason Chud likes to run everything up the gut

I fully expect Williams to break a few off on the outside today .. hopefully!

dude I watched every snap last season .. Stewart took the majority but he did not take 100% of those snaps ..

but it's no big deal .. Williams/Tolbert/Cam will get the job done today

Well, an arguement for another day...

But I out the challenge out here before.....name the game.

But I agree, it is NO BIG DEAL....I just like those looks. Game won't be about having or not having Stewart

Yeah I totally agree .. a loss won't be about not having Stew

the pistol is a wrinkle that is apart of the spread and Dwill did take a pitch out of it(2nd TB game i think). the zone read in which you are refering to is about Cam reading the DL and him deciding on giving it to the RB or pulling and keeping. even when Cam pitches it to Dwill it is still an option read based off what the d gives him and Cam reading.

      Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!

      When the broadcast showed the two benches side by side during the last TV timeout, it was pretty obvious the whole operation is a shitshow. If I was the owner, I would play that clip, with commentary, on the jumbotron at MSG as I fired the coach, GM, President, the whole lot. Bring in your AHL leadership team, wholesale, to finish out the season and start from scratch next year.  Can't fire all the players and fold the season. But, hopefully decapitating the zombie will light a fire under the body and burn out the cancer of the roster. (It makes sense if you don't think about it...) There are obviously issues on the roster. But, you can't have the entire coaching staff completely tuned out with 5 minutes left in a 2 goal game this early in the season. And you can't trust the people that hired them to hire the next staff. If you trust your AHL GM/Scouts, let them run the deadline firesale.   ...     Please don't let the owner read any of this. Because, this poo is hilarous!
