This Franchise and It's Future. Win or Lose

Hello, good evening folks.

I was such a small child when the Panthers first played in 95, I couldn't even complete a sentence, but I was cheering for them the best I could. I have always been a fan and I always will be. I don't think anything in this world could stop me from being a fan. I have been here for the all the highs and the lows. I have seen 1-15/2-14 seasons and Superbowl/deep playoff runs in our short history.

I don't think many of you will disagree with me when I say this is the best damn football team in the NFL and we are the best fans in the NFL. I know in the future we will be known as the best team to ever play. Disagree with me? I don't consider you a true fan. Don't have faith we can win any game we play? I don't consider you a true fan. A football teams fan base is what makes it great.

Do you know what this team has? It has Cameron Jerrell Newton, it has the future HOF Steve Smith, we had the legendary Sam Mills. We have a 53 man roster full of talent.

Win or Lose, this team is Greatness.. I hope you all embrace the Greatness, that is the Carolina Panthers.

Keep Pounding.

I love your heart, but we are not the best fans in the NFL. Until we fill the stadium with people wearing our colors, we have room to grow. I am very disappointed in our fans.

For example, this post is honest. Some "Panther fans" will attack me for saying this. Panther fans attacking Panther fans for saying that Panther fans should ban together, fill the stadium, and make NOISE.

I stopped positing much on here because I get attacked by a few childish fans who do not know how to comprehend an opposing opinion without anger and sarcasm--Hard for me to feel like I am not on the back of a middle school activity bus when that happens.

But I love your spirit and enthusiasm. Keep it going and ignore the smart asses who will probably scold you for this before their beditmes..

Everything you say is true, but think about the team we entered the NFL with. The Jags still can't fill a stadium ever. This team is less than 20 years old and it is in the top 10 in price. Think of where we will be in 40 years.

I like the enthusiasm.. beats pathological contempt prior to investigation...

maybe this era of Panthers' football can coach our fanbase along. As proven already, the players aren't scared to challenge the fans, and consistent success should only encourage that more...

Southern fans are laid back. Period. They are generally quieter and more polite than their northeast counterparts. Especially the older ones.

When I was a kid, I used to envy the rowdy rabid fan bases of Pittsburgh /Philly etc. but the older I get, the more I realize that Southern fans just have more perspective. It doesn't necessarily mean they are bad fans.

Example, 2010 vs Ravens at BOA. A guy in Ravens jersey and purple cammo pants and bridbeak hat screams "Caw!!!" when the announcer asks for silence before the National anthem. This guy was older than me and I'm fuging 40. Good fan? Maybe by a 17 year olds standards.

    • I agree but he honestly has gotten better about this. Used to be he’d do it like 4-5 times a game, now it’s like 2-3. Overall I’m incredibly happy with his game, his D has been solid and when he is playing his role he’s a solid scorer and one of the few guys who can consistently finish at the rim and provide that threat. Plus he’s electric and LaMelo loves him. Going into the season I was sure he would just be a stop gap here but now I’m reconsidering and could see him continue to be a “core” piece here. Obviously not on the level of the other starters but he is an important cog for this team. We felt his missed presence during his and Moose’s suspensions.
    • Philly will be a bigger challenge than the Knicks were IMO. George and Embiid are back, not sure about Maxey but Embiid alone is a nightmare matchup for us and Moose. We’ve never really done well against him. Celtics added Tatum but honestly not sure they’re all that much better with him right now than they were when we whooped them a few weeks ago. We should be able to at the very least split these 2, hopefully take both.
