Take aways from this game

I'm not worried about the O. Nor about Cam. Seriously, they will work it out once Chud gets his head out of his butt.

As for the D, frankly I have little hope. Sit in a soft zone all night, never rush more than 5, basically play prevent all night. It was a pathetic effort except for a couple of players.

Rivera is supposed to be a defensive whiz. While we might not be the most talented team on defense, we aren't the worst either, and yet we are playing just as poorly as we were last year when we fielded scrubs.

I am not an overly emotional person, so no knee-jerk reaction here, but I am really starting to question Rivera's leadership of the team.

Don't get ahead of yourself. As a former football player (and I'm sure MANY of us here are), the one thing your told by any coach worth his salt is to not focus on ANYTHING on the schedule besides the next one. Yes, we have a tough schedule. Bitching about it and acting like a goddamn child without a toy on Christmas will do NOTHING productive.

A mature, well reasoned response.

There is still a long way to go in the season, one game at at time. Things may work out yet.

This team was unprepared for the Giants tonight. We seemed to be one step behind. That is not that uncommon for this team, no matter who our coach is.

We can't continue to blame coaches and players forever, eventually the people in charge of hiring and firing have to answer for their poor decisions too.
