I wanted Luke bc I didn't think Beason would be Beason. You will take lumps with Luke....standard rookie stuff.

outside of the opening to the Tampa game Luke has been good. Beason looks more lost than our rookie out there....and can't even cash in on easy big plays. I think Luke either makes the tackle or gets that pick. TD and Luke need bigger roles.....ones that play to strengths.

My offseason hunch looks to be right.

He hasn't been good. His highlight so far is sniffing out a screen play. He's made a bunch of tackles down the field, gotten his ankles broken a couple of times, hasn't stood out in any metric and looked every bit the same as a James Anderson style player - who you love to point out as a JAG. Hell, the coaching staff don't even trust him to be out during passing plays, which is supposed to be one of his strengths.

He's a rookie and it's stupid to label him for a few years. May he really turn out to be Urlacher 2.0. He's not tearing things up as a rookie and hasn't shown enough to replace Beason yet, is all I'm saying.

PS - It sounds a little like I'm saying he's a problem with the Defense. I'm not. I just don't think he's ready yet and am not sure yanking Beason actually makes us in any way better.

Everyone of our linebackers has been pretty awful other than Davis. PFF has all of them ranked near or at the bottom. Luke is dead last as an OLB.

Kuechly needs to play every snap. From section 529 last night his speed was unreal. Was around the ball every time. I had the madden view and he covered ground from sideline to sideline

Quit taking him him out.
