Yeah, but perhaps they just forgot to mention it to the rest of the group, given the chaos of it all, or they honestly didn't see her run out (maybe there was a grouping of walkers there that made it difficult to see or something). Suspension of disbelief, I guess.

Is this just a reissue of the comics in book form? I know they have books & compendiums available (I think the only difference is the number of comic issues included). Id appreciate any light anybody could shed...

Those are separate stories that focus specifically on the Governor and how he came to be what he is and how Woodbury formed.

As far as the comics, you have traditional, single issue comics. Then you have the trades that have 5 issues per book. Then you have the compendiums that have about 50 issues a piece.

Yeah, "volumes" are trades, for those purposes. I'd suggest getting the volumes/trades, because personally, i enjoy the cover art. If you want to save a few bucks and have one, long, continuous comic, go with the compendiums.
