Saw what Newton was made of today

Recommended Posts

Anyone blamming Cam for this loss is an idiot. The game was not lost because of that fumble. Game was lost due to poor coaching and preventive football plays instead of playing to win. Game lost because of bad corner and safety play. Coach should be working the Chipolte grills, not coaching in the NFL.

I have said this multiple times to anyone who would listen. Cam Newton, Mike Vick, Lebron James, (soon to be RGIII) all fit into a VERY unique situation where they are EXPECTED to absolutely dominate all while their teammates can be subpar. They LITERALLY carry the entire weight of their franchises on their shoulders while for the most part they're very own teammates LOOK and DEPEND on them bail them out.

The Carolina defense has GIVEN UP 30 OR MORE POINTS IN THREE STRAIGHT GAMES!! Yet we have morons on here talking about a 3rd and 2 POTENTIAL fumble that was recovered costing us the game? The fumble that DIDNT even happen? A team that was at the 1 yard with a min to go, and no TO and somehow the defense gives up a 60 yard bomb...but we FOCUSING on a fumble that was RECOVERED? A defense that turned Peyton Manning over 4 times, but Newton --not once--- yet we are complaining about him not getting a first down?

You people are as pathetic and moronic as the coaching staff and front office you refuse to hold accountable.

can't argue with that.. 30 points a game is not good..

Wait a minute... weren't you just ridiculing footballisasport for pointing out that some fans are demanding perfection out of Cam?

And, after doing that, you come out with this demanding perfection out of Cam?

I think they make medicines for schizophrenia.

Hatter has issues with someone like Cam Newton receiving so much glory from Panther fans. He wants Cam to carry the load and feels he owes it to us to. Just don't give him all the credit for it. Keep in mind, Hatter was strongly opposed to us drafting and believing in Cam all the way up to week 2 of last season. Only then did he relent a bit.

I've seen his posts after the game. Someone calls out the coaches, MadHater calls them an idiot and said the players let down the coaches. Someone criticizes a player, he calls them an idiot. He then says it was the coaches and players fault.

He also called the ones criticizing Cam last week idiots and now he's doing the samething when Cam played well. Then says we're the reason why the huddle has gone down the drain.

He just likes pretending he's superior to others when really he looks like a moron every time he posts.

So you're a psychic? What are the winning lottery numbers? You're a walking oxymoron.

I believe in Cams will to win as a competitor, you know he is beating himself up about that fumble.

That said he played a great game, I'm far more angry with the coaches and there terrible calls.

he is not demanding anything.

Jesus, the man wants a franchise Qb to not fumble with the game on the line.

Smh.

Or the highest paid man on the team not grab a facemask and extend a drive.

Or a starting safety play a pass floating as high as a punt as a competent professional rather than a staggering drunk.

Or a starting middle linebacker wrap up the opposing running back rather than just hitting him with his shoulder thinking his mighty awesomeness would make the running back fall down in terror.

Or running backs CATCH the catchable balls are thrown to them.

Etc. etc. etc.

But lets just come in here and be like Hatter and bitch at guys who are defending Cam and saying that it was a team loss and not just Cam's fault. You know... because he's a "realist".

But he DID fumble at the end if the game. He played well, but was not perfect. That fumble cost us the game just as much as Nakamura's coverage mistake cost the game.

Exactly. He was not perfect. Think about what you are typing. He was not perfect... (Ryan was not either)...therefore the Panthers cannot expect to win.

The panthers expect SO little from the rest of their roster that when Cam is not perfect...they can expect to lose.

    • Great point.    I would lke to add that there is another QB on the roster who was terrible over the middle--Kenny Pickett.
    • I don't think this is the year for Carolina, unfortunately.  I think they will have to make a decision on the QB position-all we know is that Bryce has year 5, but a long term deal has not been signed--yet--and they would be smart to take a "wait and see" approach.  I have not kept up, and I see a path to upside for Bryce, but I do not think we have aggressively pursued a QB when our QB was mediocre to worse than mediocre.  yes, his numbers are improving--but he has adapted by eliminating what he does poorly and not improving on what he does poorly.  Just my take and I have no data to support this view.   Basically, we go as Bryce goes, so the approach is not to bring in a QB to have him compete until we find one, but it is to make Bryce as good as he can be--is that good enough? Season ticket holders buy the hope of winning rings, not winning 8 games. Last year, Bryce had a resurgence.  Take away TMac and Rico Dowdle.  How good was he?  I still have hope.  Not a hater of plan A, but a hater because we have no plan B.
    • Yeah man, I've been here for a very very long time. Couldn't even begin to tell you what year. Maybe 2004 or 5? I've never really been super active, just enjoy reading everyone's opinions and discussions. I'll chime in from time to time. I have had a few different accounts over the years. It's always been a fun place for me to check in on my favorite team. Hopefully we can keep the place running for a long while still. I also would like to recommend bringing back the Lovely Ladies page!
