We need to utilize the screen/checkdown more often!

AE may not be the best WR or punt returner but get him the ball in space and he is deadly. Here's to hoping he gets a few more looks...

He has 1 catch in his NFL career.....what makes you think that makes him deadly?

AE took alot of harsh critism from the fans on this sight over the last two years. I for one have always trusted whatever the coaches saw on him. And believed they kept him as a secret weapon in case we made the playoffs last year. It seems he has his own playbook within our system, and if we adapt to it now, could surely enhance our opportunity for winning. Glad we kept him even if I'm the only one. Look forward to seeing more Ae on the field. And the intriquite playbook formulated around him.

You mean the Mildcat passing plays, and bubble screens?

I have zero interest in seeing him bc all they are doing is setting up the Armati Wildcat.....which is a weaker version of Cam playing it.

He isn't a good enough WR to be a Randel El type guy.....you know if he is in for 2-3 snaps a "trick play" will be one of them. What made Randel El so good is he could play WR all game.....and you never knew when it was comjng

As soon as I saw him come in I said it's either a bubble screen, or the fuger is going to throw a pass....

I mean the ability to disguise your plays. Is he running passing or recieving. he alone of course does not seal the deal. But to include him in formations will help us be less readable. "mildcat",kiss my ass!

Nothing is disguised though. If he takes the snap you know he's throwing the ball because otherwise we would have DeAngelo or Stew take the snap. If he's in the slot it's almost certainly going to be a screen of some type. Where's the disguising in that??

Armanti doesn't disguise plays....he tips them off.

And you can argue putting him behind C is a downgrade from Cam's run/pass threat he naturally presents.

If he can't be a Randel El type player.....he serves to purpose on a team with Cam

    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
