you call yourselves fans?

I agree there is a type of fan that is over-dramatic and completely irrational.. They usually look foolish and rarely make sense. I.e., Cam Newton doesn't review tape when everyone and their brother have said otherwise..

Although I do not subscribe to the philosophy that a team deserves unquestioned support through consistent mediocrity, and welcome to turn the noise up on the FO as high as it can go...

No, we deserve better. We pay their salaries- not the other way around. You define a fan as someone having blind loyalty. Some of us define a fan as a critical supporter who has a right to be angry/vocal when their team is not up to snuff- and hasn't been for a LONG time. You fans calling everyone crybabies are the crybabies. You can't handle ANY (justified) criticism of such an obviously "perfect" team. LOL!

We shouldn't be running all of THE SAME PLAYS. Chud has proven an inability to adapt to defenses that have adapted to him!

you dont pay nobodies salaries bro, you sit at home and scream at the TV like the rest of the fanbase. All those crappy shows on TV, I dont claim they owe me better programing because I have direct TV. If I buy a jersey I bought it because the player can ball, if I buy a ticket I like my team and I believe week in and week out they can get it done. They do their best every week and if that aint good enough for you then move to philly. They WILL get it together with the personel that you see now....the exact personel.....stop crying and get ready for Dallas. The

I hope none of you negative bastards ever have kids. you will invest your whole life into them and they will screw up alot....just like you did. do you owe your parents more? do they deserve more?. get on the phone and call them right now and apologize for every time you f'd up and then you are allowed to bitch about the panthers. Because playing football in the NFL is a hell of alot harder than doing the stupid things in life we all do.

another way to look at it. I have a good friend and NC guy grew up in wilmington moved to fayetteville fights on Showtime friday night. He is undefeated and his opponent is undefeated and they both scrap. somebody is going to get knocked out. I dont have showtime but I am going to buy it so I can watch my friend fight. If he loses you think he owes me the money for purchasing showtime??? You think he owes me more? no different for the Panthers they risk their health and give their all every week and they dont owe us anything. They love to play and we love to watch so we pay for it. If you are not going to stick through the rough times then pick a current winning team. but dont post on here with names like 'Iampantherman' claiming to be fan.

I will gladly take one of these threads for every five or six meltdown threads that go up.

The team is looking lost and ugly, it sucks. We'll see if the bye week helps in addressing some of the issues that have been plaguing the team. The bad tackling has to be remedied and smash mouth football needs to be rediscovered.

Gettis will be coming off of the PUP soon as well, which will give the team the opportunity to see if he can contribute. We've been in rebuilding mode since last season, and I've made a pact with myself that I will not allow myself to go batshit crazy until Cam's 3rd season. Then, should there be any doubt that we will make the playoffs, Pookie and I will burn this mutha down.

We definitely DO pay the salaries of all the players, management, and everyone else making money in the NFL. Without the fans, the NFL and all sucking on its teet have NOTHING. Where do you think the money comes from? And don't say advertising dollars/ network money /tv deals! That money exists because of people/fans watching the games whether it be in person or on televsion. Without us fans the NFL is nothing. It boggles my mind that you cannot grasp that. The NFL exists because the fans make it a priority in their lives. We choose to invest our time and money into this sport/league. If we (collectively) go away and do something else, the NFL and our Panthers go away as well.

Arguably, the only real embarrassment has been the Giants game. We had an opportunity to win in all the others, but fail short. That's really not uncommon with a team and coaching staff as young as the Panthers. We are going through growing pains, it's as simple as that.

For three years straight though?!?

Equating parenthood to NFL fandom shows just how messed up your views are.

    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
