The Cam, Luck, RG3 RANT

I never said wins and losses were solely on the QB. Regardless, comparing a QB to a designated hitter is pretty fuging stupid.

If your earlier reply of "how many wins did the Falcons have in Matt Ryan's second year (paraphrasing)" wasn't a statement of a QB's W/L record then what exactly was your fugging point?

cam isnt even in a sophomore slump. when you watch him play he looks significantly improved. much calmer, better footwork, more on point throws. sadly you dont see that often due to the amount of pressure he's taking. this oline needs to be heavily infused with talent this offseason. especially the backups.

Nonsense

Here are some facts:

Cam Newton 17 sacks, 25 QB hits

RG III 17 sacks, 44 QB hits

Andrew Luck 18 sacks, 47 QB hits

And winner, winner, chicken dinner:

Aaron Rogers 28 sacks (2nd most in NFL), 45 QB hits

Some quarterbacks just handle duress better than others....

"THAT THERE SCAM DON'T WIN NO GAMES" has been a crux of this douchebag's arguments against our quarterback since the beginning. interesting to see him suddenly abandon that angle lol.

here's meangelo "never saying wins and losses were soley on the QB":

I don't think he was elite last year. He is an overhyped running quarterback. He didn't pass for over 300 yards after week 4. He didn't win games.

What has he really done to warrant such nut hugging? If he won games, I would understand, somewhat.

Can you blame him? Cam is an immature child who can't win games.

There is no guarantee that he will grow into anything. Has Jay Cutler grown into being a leader? Did Vince Young? Matt Ryan had a C on his chest by year two. He also won football games, but that is a different story.

these are all just from the first page of his Content list lol

"well one of my main grievances with $CAM NEWTON is that he doesn't win none of them there football games. but don't you fine young male panther fans dare accuse me of pinning wins and losses solely on the quarterback!"

Just because your not getting hit doesn't mean your not under pressure. the problem isn't the defense blitzing, it's when they only rush 3 and leave 8 in coverage. our interior oline often doesn't kick outside to help pick up the one guy that was in a one on one blocking situation getting beat, giving cam less than 3 seconds in the pocket to find an open wideout vs 8 coverage men.

cam isn't getting hit while throwing nor does he get sacked often, but he's being forced to throw the ball earlier than he'd like or flushed out on the run. u should consider watching the games if ur going to properly troll this board.

i don't know whose alt that is (maybe grits or perhaps even pantherfanforlife is back) but it's clear they're just pulling stats and not watching the games.

stats are alright for simple overviews of things. a passer with a quarterback rating of 120 is probably generally "better" than one with a rating for 70, for example. advanced stats from reliable sources like PFF are even better and can shed light on some more subtle things. but we live in a day and age where you can watch every single NFL game in HD with all-22 coaches film for $49. provided you have something resembling a basic understanding of different offenses and personnel packages you can endlessly feast on an unfiltered, no bullshit source of information.

Personally I think its grits.

i mean PFF ranked newton as the third best passer under pressure in the entire league last year using their grading system. he was ranked above brady, rodgers, and stafford to name a few.

look under the "Pressure Passing, Grades 2011" header for the overall scores:

https://www.profootb...1-quarterbacks/

did he just forget? or is it more complicated than that?
