I am convinced Charlotte is only about 20% Panther fans

When the fuggin Broncos almost outnumber panther fans, that is fugging sad. This funk that started with the Cardinal playoff loss has got to end now. I met more Bronco fans yesterday with no ties what so ever to Denver or Colorado. Just random assholes from Raleigh, Wilmington, etc claiming diehard fan status.

We are a new franchise and we won't have total loyalty until our kids grow up Panthers fans. It takes time.

Oh and this guy named Peyton Manning helps too. Most fans are fair weather and don't post on football forums.

we're a state of wal-mart tar heels and blue devils who know nothing other than national titles and universal acclaim. the panthers have never won anything in their lifetime so you get poo like this.

it happened during the saints super bowl run too-people just couldn't understand why i was pulling for the colts over them.

On the train from Raleigh there were some bandwagon bronco's fans who were really just Peyton Manning fans. Another Broncos fan walked by with a Rod Smith jersey and they didnt know who that was. As I'm sitting in the stadium at about 12 there seemed to be 90 percent Broncos fans in their seats early, it was......discouraging. I was in seat 27 row 26 sec 521 and was surrounded by Denver fan's. I know NC is full of transplants but this was crazy. When I caught some of the game on DVR at home it looks even worse, a sea of orange.

1) Charlotte is a city of transplants who are loyal to the teams they grew up with.

2) Not every Carolina native dropped their favorite team to support the upstarts. Love and loyalty run deep in many fans.

3) If the team were more successful the youth of the area would jump aboard. No one likes a loser.

    • Holy poo, App State is 5-7 and in a bowl game. LOL! The dozens in attendance look thrilled to be there. Attendance is so light half the players' parents didn't even bother.
    • I have said that about Morgan in his playing days looking at facing Bryce, he would be licking his chops. To present a case for Dan having some sanity. I mean no way a real player would fear him, right? But I am not sure any more.
    • Bryce missed a number of opportunities yesterday. There were guys open but he had either already moved on from them or never even got to them in the progression. He doesn't have a guy right now that he trusts. It was TMac earlier in the season, but he and TMac are not on the same page all the time, and Coker is actually the best WR on the team right now. I know that hurts some feelings, but it's true. The oline got their lunch money taken all day. It was really bad. In both the run game and the pass game. You could see when the QB lost all confidence in them and that mental clock started to shorten. But as a QB you have to push through that and stand in the pocket, go through your progressions, and deliver an accurate ball on time.  But yeah, my biggest take away is that this offense lacks speed and a true playmaker. A couple of solid guys but no true playmaker. As much as BY checked down to RBs, they couldn't make a guy miss in one one opportunities. And they weren't even LBs. They were DBs. You have to make that guy miss.  If they're serious about winning right now and not about player development, then Jimmy Horn needs to take XLs snaps. They only put him in to influence the deep safety with fly routes - XL can do that. Jimmy can run a lot more of the route tree than XL right now. Also Etienne needs to play more snaps. If BY is gonna be a checkdown king, then they need someone that can actually do something with the ball in space. Interior oline is weak. They aren't very consistent getting to the second level. Outside runs are this team's bread and butter. Gotta embrace that.
