Watching the Chiefs makes me appreciate being a Panthers fan.

Wow anyone watching this game? This team is just abysmal, i mean so bad it made our performance yesterday look like the Patriots. Big Ben got injured at the start of the half and the Chiefs cant do squat against Leftwich under center. Didnt realize how bad they are.

I wouldn't be surprised if they beat us in a few weeks.

Watching this game makes me wonder if Cassel isn't a decent QB stuck on a piss poor offense. The guy is putting the ball on the money and is getting killed by drop after drop after drop. Now, I only started watching midway through the 3rd, so he could've been awful before then, but the guy has played well since I've been watching. You'd never know it by looking at the stats though.

Yeah, watching him, I've always thought he was a good starting QB. Not great, but good. I don't know what's wrong with their offense, but I really don't think he's the problem.

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
