Keek set to top the league in tackles after today

Still want to see Luke improve in coverage and become more of a leader on defense. But he's been a good replacement for Beast

He was directing traffic and positioning players, especially the secondary, all game. I don't know what exactly you were watching.

Thats not what Im talking about. What Hardy did this week, I'd like to see Luke do in the future. Beast in the past used to do stuff like that all the time, making statements, and leading on and OFF the field. Racking up tackles is great, but we need more from him to take our D to where it needs to go. He has room for improvement.

I have no doubt that he has room for improvement, but he's the leader of the defense. He was putting players in the positions and directing the adjustments. He also leads with his play, much like Cam does.

    • The aversion to tying up too much money in the ground game when it’s what’s winning us games is crazy to me. I get letting Rico walk if you think he’s easily replaceable but I don’t see many people arguing that, just applying an arbitrary salary cap based on what we think RBs are currently worth. I’d rather be stuck with Hubbard as an overpaid backup (not the worst one to have, mind you) than lose out on the most productive player on the offense personally.
    • Why do people keep saying things like “it’s not Young’s fault we spent so much to draft him”? Who cares if it’s his fault?  Nobody is saying send him to jail or anything.  People aren’t talking about blame for the decision to draft him, they’re talking about how bad he is as a QB and how we’d be much better with even an average QB.  Pointing out that we sunk a lot of resources into drafting him isn’t invalidated because he didn’t make that decision himself. Doesn’t matter whose fault that was, he’s still not playing like a QB who was drafted at all, much less one that cost two firsts, two seconds and a #1 WR.
