Well done.

The Bolts suffer from a lack of attendance from their fan base and this was another black out in San Diego.

San Diego is another team in a battle for a modern NFL stadium. If LA ever breaks ground on a stadium they could wind up there.

They even tried to sell tickets on Groupon.

For a while enemy fan base invasions were so bad that when individual game tickets went on sale in order to buy tickets to a Raider visiting game you had to buy a group of Charger home games because the Raider thugs made the games un-attendable, if that's a word.

MInd you Cam Newton (And the Panthers) have a large fan base in Los Angeles and the many cities deejays Mark and Brian on KLOS were syndicated in as the long time morning show personalities Mark and Brian often pimped the Panthers. Specifically Mark Thompson who has since retired to North Carolina and is a season ticket holder would attend Panther home games on the weekend and much of Los Angeles would wake up to Mark and Brian on their clock radios to Mark telling tales of his weekend in the Carolinas.

I started a thread a couple years ago entitled Cam Newton is everywhere /

It's here:

Panther fans are everywhere. :thumbsu:

Oh, and Mark and his wife Linda do Podcasts now.

    • I will admit this- Kon doesn't look or play like a 19 year. Much bigger and filled out than I thought he was. Plus initiate the offense during his best quarter and he did make some good passes for FG attempts.   I watch NBA years ago and was a top 3 fantasy yahoo managers for years. Many times a player had like 30 points, it mostly came from one or 2 hot quarters. The others were 5 and 0, so his 16 point game is normal in that regard.    If Ball, bridges, and Miller allow Kon to be apart of the team, just depends on if he clicks of not. Another generic white guy comp popped in my head........he of hornet lore-Gordon Hayward 15 points 5 rebs 3.5 asst Maybe??
    • Here are a couple of links.   Wish I had seen this before this past weekend as appears they had a big fundraiser event last week. https://sites.google.com/vollminadvisory.com/thewilmingtonarenaproject/home https://www.wwaytv3.com/wilmington-native-leads-push-for-new-multi-use-venue-to-attract-professional-hockey-team/ https://portcitydaily.com/latest-news/2025/07/13/wilmington-nonprofit-fundraising-for-10k-seat-arena-to-lure-pro-ice-hockey-team/ https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61577145613291
    • Especially with no other major sports in the area other than UNCW basketball and soccer. It's a good 2 1/2 hour drive just to catch a collegiate football game. If this new arena were built I would hope it also includes an Adult League - I would join up and time allowing would be more than happy to help coach some youth teams. 😄
