Finishing 2nd in NFCS = more Rivera

The D has vastly improved, so have the ST's and Cam as this year was wasted.

Jerry is a patient owner who wants to model the Panthers after Pitt and NYG, two other organizations who have benefited quite a bit from patience.

The record may not improve, but to say we haven't improved as a team is short sighted. We improved on ST and switched a good O for a good D. I think he should have next year to get it all together.

We usually give rookies a three year learning curve, so why not rookie coaches?

so what we have is a better class of loser.

i'm resigned to the notion that instead of going after an upgrade we'll probably be trying the "patient" approach with rivera since we obviously seem fine with losing records as long as we are "better". i don't see switching for a good/elite offense to a good defense being improved. i don't see finishing with the same number of wins as last year being improved, but whatever.

i like seeing improvement. in game management i haven't seen much. aside form the last couple weeks i haven't seen a coaching staff willing to take advantage of a hungry team. i see a coaching staff willing to try and sit on a lead in an era in which the rules makes in incredibly easy for a team to launch it deep downfield and put themselves either in scoring position or in FG range quickly, regardless of where you start out. i don't think he's incredibly forward thinking and i don't think he's all that capable of out thinking most coaches.

he's a players coach...but that may not be what makes someone the best coach, at least not on their own. i think he's a great DC, and that's probably where he should have stayed.

This team the last several weeks is the best we have had in several years. We actually have a top 10 defense and a good offense (thanks to Cam really working hard on reducing INTS and upping his game in general). I would love to see Cam play at this level for the rest of his career and now with a top ten D we should be in the playoffs regularly.

This team needs a coach who isn't afraid to put his foot up player's asses, figuratively. They are extremely spoilt. Especially the older players, who should be the leaders of this team but has yet to really step up and play their role. Instead it's left up to a rockie QB just because he's a QB. I strongly believe this is what separates this team from all the other teams out there. Way to spoilt, complacent and need to grow up. If Rivera isn't willing to stand up to the Smitty's and other senior players, who I can bet, are the ones really running the show in the locker-room, while you folks scream at Cam, then he needs to lose his job.

It's clear Fox wasn't the problem with this team because you're still struggling, despite the many fans' fantasies of season ending play-offs and SB rings. He's once again play-off bound with a different QB at the Helm of the Broncos. That's two season in a row since he got fired from the Panthers.

When will you folks realize what is the real problem is with this team and stop trying to pin it on everyone else?

This. Sums up exactly what happened in. The ATLANTA game. Not the cam fumble. Letting them get the ball back with two deep ball threat WRs when we have cam whose almost automatic from 1 yard out. He needs to go

I am feeling optimistic and believe Acorsi is going to do what we hired him for and sign a legit GM.

I think with 32 games to base his judgement off of, it won't take long for the new GM to realize he doesn't want to stain himself with putting his neck out for Rivera. I always wanted Rivera to succeed for us but he's blown his chance and when Hurney got fired it pretty much spelled the end for Rivera. He has not done nearly enough to prove he's worth keeping. In his 2nd year we have played 8 .500 or better teams and only managed 1 win(Atlanta). 1-7 against .500 or better teams is a terrible stat considering 3 of those losses came before we placed 1 starter on I.R.

He also got swept by Tampa's rookie head coach and the loss to the 2-13 chiefs when your fighting to save your job is embarrassing.

I don't want him back and feel pretty confident he won't be even if we beat N.O to close out the season.
