1) Keep Rivera, find a new GM, 2013 another tryout forRivera.

2) Fire Rivera, find new GM and possibly miss out on top coaching candidates due to the time it takes to hire a GM.

3) Fire Rivera, hire one coach/GM to take full control of the team.

Which do you go with?

Id have to know who we would be replacing Rivera with first.

The think I really like about Rivera x's and o's wise is he is good a D but always isnt conservative on O. Although at times Chud can call dumb plays.

The question about Rivera is his personnel managing / motivating.

In there I love our schemes.

You have to go with 2. One thing you have to realize with the GM search is that they have been evaluating throughout the season. Ernie already knows who he plans on bringing in. They just got to get the interview process over in a timely fashion. Don't be surprise if the interviews gets going early.

Number 2 - I dont believe hiring a gm is going to take more than a few days after Monday - the top candidates for head coach arent going to be falling into our laps anyway - theyre going to go to the glamor jobs.

I'll add that it took Mr. Scot maybe an afternoon to put together a good list of candidates along with a short bio and some analysis on each one. And he's not even an NFL insider. If he can do that, then what has Accorsi been doing all this time?

I don't like gambling, but I think banking on them having a top three list is a safe bet.

In the NFL the ' glamour' jobs are the ones that are open.

But I agree that it won't take long to get the new GM so option 2 is my vote.

    • Ohio State no. 8 won it all last year.  No. 6 Penn State and no. 7 Notre Dame advanced to the semi-final. This year no. 7 Ole Miss is going to win it all.
    • agreed.  Lack of games/opportunity makes him a non-factor in OROTY talk.  He is just now getting the stage where there is legit film on him.  Takes awhile to really see how guys react to all the different scenarios and to find the real weak spots on a QB's play in an O.
    • Oh boy how the tables have turned...the passion and extent at which you defend Shough would make even the staunchest Bryce fanboys blush.  The bold part is especially straight from their playbook.  Even if someone here were to withhold giving Shough props, it's pretty understandable as a Panthers fan.  What's quite odd is becoming the biggest stan of our most hated rival's starting QB.  I don't think even Saints fans drool over him this hard. For the record I think this talk about "stans" and "fanboys" is cringe AF and I'm admittedly being rather hyperbolic because this is exactly the kind of discourse and language you personally love to engage in and it's fun to play in the mud from time to time.  There is absolutely no world where you do not meet your own criteria of a "Super Stan" for Shough with how loosely you apply that label to people for Bryce in here.  You're like the Final Boss of Super Stans.
