We should at least take a hard look at Chip Kelly

I'm beginning to question the timing of JR's "sit down" with head coach Ron Rivera honestly. It's almost as if JR intentionally set today in order for him to at least talk with Chip Kelly to gauge his interest prior to talking with Rivera.

Today could be very interesting...

I heard on the radio that Rivera and JR are supposed to sit down tomorrow (or over the weekend anyway). The likelihood of JR paying the two years left on RR's contract and then getting in a bidding war for Kelly is, to me, highly unlikely, based on JR's past refusal to fire Fox and pay two staffs, pie charts, etc etc.

I thought the same thing but with Chip having interviews today it may be too late

I'm starting to question why he would wait in till the weekend to make a decision on Rivera. I would love to bring Chip Kelly in and have him work with Cam. I think they would fit well with each other scheme wise anyway. All I can say is that everybody is saying that their gut feeling is that Rivera gets another year. If this was the case all along, why would you wait almost a whole week to make a decision on a guy you was going to keep anyway. Maybe it's just me but things aren't adding up. Who are we kidding? JR will never go after anybody like Chip Kelly.

I don't foresee a bidding war at all... If you think about it, and watched last nights game... We are the ONLY offense capable of that scheme. We have the personnel and re on the rise. Name another Team that currently is Head Coachless where he could come in right away and run his scheme.

Nobody else finds it odd, that JR won't be talking to Rivera until tomorrow? Giving himself ALL of today to talk to... Oh that's right the guy that Won his bowl game last night?

It's pretty obvious on the timing alone what's going on here. Now, do we get him or not? That remains to be seen. At this point I believe in my heart that JR will be getting the first shot with Chip, if he hasn't already set it all up.

The one thing we have going for us, is that it's Chip Kelly and Everyone should know where he's at at ll times... But teh JR is a sneaky sneaky... I have a feeling that our franchise will be sculpted for yrs to come in the next 24-48 hrs
