Kemba Walker, Charlotte Bobcats: Young NBA players are expected to improve, but I wasn’t totally convinced that Walker was capable of his current level of performance at all, much less in Year 2. Where many saw a natural leader and a former college standout, I saw only a quick guard who would likely struggle with the size and speed of NBA defenders, and an offense-first player reliant on pull-up jumpers. To me, that seemed to be the résumé of a decent backup, but hardly the kind of description befitting a lead guard.

But Walker has redefined his NBA potential in my mind by improving in so many phases of the game so quickly, a development that can only be attributed to his willingness to work on better understanding this caliber of opponent and the nuances of the game in general. Many have praised Walker’s composure in years past, but the way he now approaches his role and his skill set are fundamentally more intelligent. His quickness is deployed with more control, his shot selection is far more measured and he’s already displaying an impressive ability to manipulate defenders in order to create offense. Walker seems likely to always skew toward the score-first mold, but that itself isn’t a demerit so much as a stylistic footnote; as long as the Bobcats account for Walker’s style of play in their team construction, his passing limitations needn’t hold back the development of their offense.

For some reason, Kemba reminds me of a young Iverson. Cool to see him on this list, as he has definitely improved this season. He's still got to work on his shot a little bit, but its improved leaps and bounds over last year. Last year he couldn't shoot a grape in the ocean.

I totally agree with the iverson comparison, as long as he continues to improve kemba is going to be a scoring force. Team just needs a good big man in the post to elevate the team as a whole.

Man I'd fuging love if we some how could draft Shabazz Muhammed or Ben Mclemore to put with him and MKG. We desperately need more scorers around him

the only problem is we need to add a couple really good post players. Once we get that we will be a very dangerous team. We have good depth.

      PJ's completion % was 63% when starting games in Carolina.  Which I believe is better than Bryce when starting.  And again, 4-3 as the starter here and the LONE QB Carolina has been able to actually win with in the Tepper era.  If you ask a gambling gunslinger to come into blowouts.....they are going to go down in a blaze of glory.  Which he would do.  Yeah, he isn't good.  And gunslingers are supposed to have rockier stats than checkdown QBs.   So....why does PJ Walker have a better comp % as a starter than Bryce Young.  And for every knock you want to make about PJ, you can find something or a skillset that PJ does better than Bryce.   I didn't say PJ had good field vision.  He doesn't.  Tell me about Bryce after he comes off the first read lol.  Let me repeat, PJ Walker is not a good QB.  He is NFL depth and an in house arm.  Bryce Young doesn't belong in a convo w/ Jake and Cam.  He belongs closer in a convo with the backup caliber QBs Carolina was forced into playing.  Which isn't just PJ Walker.  But Kyle Allen.  Moore.  Guys like that.

      Oh I see what you meant by memory. I will trust my memory, I have looked a a lot of those ball charts for Bryce and they trend a general pattern. They thing that has changed that I have noticed more recently is the reduction in the bunching of behind or at  the LOS passes over to his right.  Aside from the quantity of throws recently since the running game has become a more dominant factor.

      Yes but you basically said you are going from a quick skim of those charts without doing the same for Bryce and/or Andy. So you are going memory vs. snapshots. That's not going to be a very comprehensive analysis.
