Yea there is no reason to have an asterisk - nobody is taking away what Miami did in the NBA last year, let alone whichever team hoists the Cup this year. Winning it this year would say a ton about the coaching staff too.

It will be a horse race b/t the Canes, Caps and Panthers for the division, but I think they take it.

As much I absolutely LOVE our first two lines and our first 1.5/2 defensive pairings....we are still missing pieces, I think. Our 3rd line, with Ruutu out, is officially in question. Our 4th line is short shifting either way, so it doesn't matter that much. We might make the playoffs due to the shortened season, but if we do, it will NOT be easy.

As already stated, let's see what the coaching staff has. This will be a good test.

      As much as I hate to lose an NFL team, it's probably for the best if the team relocated somewhere where the fans actually will support them.  Too many transplant here for any team to survive.  Just let us have our college sports.  And take the Hornets too while you're at it.
