Updated Assistant Coach Options

Is he also responsible for LaDainian Tomlinson, Michael Turner, and Darren Sproles? If so, the fug Yea!!! Bring him in. Fug it, give him the OC job. XD

Wilson's pro career took him back and forth between the Falcons and Chargers. He was first the Falcons RB coach from 1991 to 1996. He went to the Chargers from 1997 to 2001, then back to the Falcons from 02 to 07 and back again to the Chargers from 2008 on.

Tomlinson's was with the Chargers from 2001 to 2009, so Wilson was there for part of his career but can't rightly be credited with developing hm. He and Michael Turner passed each other on the way to new locations when Turner went to Atlanta (2009). As far as Charger backs, he has the most time with Darren Sproles, having coached his final three Charger seasons.

Backs he would have coached in Atlanta would have included Jamaal Anderson, Warrick Dunn and Jason Snelling (only one year). Again, he can be credited with coaching, but not truly developing unless you count Snelling's rookie season in Atlanta.

I suppose the two backs with which he could likely best be associated are 1991 Falcon draftee (later Steeler) Erric Pegram and our own Mike Tolbert.

Word that new Bear Head Coach Marc Trestman has officially released some of the coaches from Lovie Smith's staff. That list includes Mike Tice and runningback coach Tim Spencer.

If Spencer is the guy Rivera had in mind to take over the RB coaching, he's now free to go after him.

No word on Bob Babich, but he's well liked in Chicago so it'd be no shock if they kept him.

Rivera tried to hire Babich when he first got the Panthers job, but he stayed in Chicago.

His son is on staff as a second level defensive assistant.(not listed on the coaching page).

It'd be a natural pickup. And imagine for a moment what the guy who's been coaching Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs since 2004 could do with Luke Kuechly.

I do not understand why we have not made one single move to fill the roles on our coaching staff.

They've interviewed at least five different coaches (three potential OCs, two possible ST coaches). And some would suggest the next WR coach is already on staff. Might be others we don't know about.

Gotta remember, especially here, that just because nothing's being reported doesn't mean nothing's happening.
