OK, so if no heir to Smitty is in our draft plans, or in the draft at all, then FA is critical

lol okay... wish they would have got open to that endzone lol.......yeah ill give em credit but dont think that you are safe with these guys. everytime newton went deep someone dropped the ball. im talking 50 yards deep.

and those guys are not sure just like jerry rice wasnt coming out of a small school. got to take a chance man. lol

Again we were top 5 in least drops this year and lafell has some of the best hands in the league. We also might have scored more if we had a better Under center run pass option plays in the red zone. Instead of Chud having us in the Shotgun 85% of the time.

Personally, I am looking for a top 5 offense and defense. Then we can sweep our way to a Lombardi.

maybe we can get both in the draft but if we have to trim the fat then we will have to pick where the strengths need to be. It seems like more fat will be trimmed on defense so it makes sense to get stronger there. Jmo

Considering that Gross will be a cap casualty, I think it's safe to predict that our Rd 1 pick has to be an LT.

I don't think we can afford to cut Gross this year. To many of the good OT prospect went back to college. Plus i think he is more willing then anybody to restruture his contract.

okay what if smith goes down.....who u got...im waiting

The same thing we would have if we drafted somebody this year.

Again there is no scout saying there is a Julio a AJ, or Megatron type in this draft.

Meaning there is no sure fire guy in this draft that without a question can start from day 1.

I don't think we as a team have a choice. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he is one the his bonus has been paid and can be cut with pro-rated signing bonus hitting us

And that pro-rated signing bonus is what will keep us locked into Dwill and Jstew. With the ink on their contract still wet, we can't afford to let them walk!

I think it's safe to say, Gross and Gamble are as good as gone

Also, people need to STOP with the restructure mess. No player just agrees to take a paycut! They are given more guaranteed money and higher amounts on the backside. We either pay the piper now or it really gets bad

lol u guys ARE TOO FUNNY

yes i agree with oline first but i would go wr in 2nd. no one can convince me otherwise after what ive watched with my own eyes. i will repeat...panthers have no real deep threat. smith is old and most times he's going to be double covered.

cam needs a tall wr who can jump for those passes.

we are drafting a wr just not in the first 2 rounds. I also feel confident that lafell can step up and gettis and Murphy share #2 until he gets healthy.

and that's the solution? draft a 4th or 5th or 6th round expecting them to be plan B?

lol

There is no way we can address all issues in 1 offseason. We don't have any cap space and we don't have a full load of draft picks. We need to fix are biggest problems. That's DT, O-line and secondary.

"Yes we can!"

Man, Gett is gonna start cutting and filling in with such surgical precision that we are going to think he's an MD. The man is gonna dump so much dead weight that we really will label him The Godfather. The man already alluded to the fact that there is gold to be mined in FA. He is the fix-it man. The equalizer. No way we go into the season as stunted as we are due to Hurney's fug-ups. I won't believe it until I see it.

We can address DT and WR regardless (which is arguably what we should probably concentrate on anyway). Our piecemeal O-line was doing a fairly good job during the last several weeks of the season, so there is no reason to think it can't be better once we get pieces back and supplement weaknesses.
