Ryan Leaf is costing you fugers thousands to chill in a jail for snorting up his $$. If you look at J Russ numbers, they arent THAT bad. His second year was decent in fact. But oh no, hes fat amd dumn and lazy. Whatever..with so many shitty QBs in the league he should find a team, if he is serious.

Say what you want, but at least he hasn't screwed up his life like Ryan Leaf, who I'm sure will be quickly sympathized with because unlike Russel, none of his struggles are his fault, right?

**Waiting for the obligatory King Taharqa "It was The Man conspiring to turn Russell into a failure" response**

I can tell you this... If Ryan Leaf came out and said "I'm planing a comeback" I can guarantee there would be just as much poo talk (if not more) in that thread. Don't make this a discrimination thread man because there's none here

I hope JaMarcus comes back and shocks the world... But the way he just didn't care in Oakland I highly doubt it. It would be an amazing story and I hope he does take it as serious (or even more) as Derek Anderson (lol)

I for one am rooting for him to learn from his mistakes and turn his life around. We all have needed second chances at one time or another in marriage, friendship, work, school, etc. Most of us have @#@#@# up at one time or another. I know I live in a glass house and therefore don't throw rocks at others who have made mistakes. He seriously needs to lose another 80 pounds if he wants to be successful though. If he is truly serious then he will lose most if not all of the weight by next season. Good luck JaMarcus.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
