to be fair his job is not necessarily about being right but more about pandering to people who want to see their favorite college players connect to their favorite NFL team

Mock drafters are wrong more often than your average weatherman, and it's partly because the draft is more unpredictable. After the first trade every dynamic is shifted and all the moving parts change position. And you get paid for predicting it.
