Do you agree with this chart based on the phones you've had?

I have a HTC Rezound and have been mostly satisfied with it... lately it's been acting up a little... random restarts, slow to respond once in a while... that kind of thing. I've had it about 12 months.

Prior to that I had a Motorola Droid X and it was fine up until the screen died. It lasted about 16 months.

I personally think that they design obsolescence into these things...

Samsung is at the bottom of the satisfaction list...

My son texted me just yesterday and said a girl in his class dropped her GS3 from about 4' high and even though it had a case and cover it shattered.

I've dropped my Rezound (it's in a shell case) several times and it's fine.

my wife has a GS3 and so far no problems, although not sure if she's dropped it much. I have a Droid Razr that's about 14 months old and no problems, dropped a few times. Prior to that I had the OG Droid and it started to get buggy after almost 2 years. I agree I think they design obsolescence into them.

There is no need to think this it is a fact. It's called planned obsolescence and has fuged the consumer in countless ways. If you want to start looking into it begin with the lightbulb.

The Galaxy Note score I really find surprising. I don't have one (still on my Nexus), but I will be getting a GN3 when I'm due for an upgrade in September. My sister however does have a GN2, which I have spent several hours using to see how it compares to the other galaxy phones. I can honestly say that it is one of the best devices I've ever used. Call quality is excellent in Charlotte and the surrounding area, and the features of the phone are incredible. The battery life from everything she says is outstanding for a phone of it's size. Yes I've read the screens are a little fragile, but I expect that to be changed on the GN3 so I'm not too concerned about it. Either way, that's what I have insurance on my phone for. Also I thought the size would be an issue (and it certainly would be for someone with smaller hands) but I found it's surprisingly comfortable in my hands, and I couldn't see it being an issue ever. If I had to nitpick, I would say that the battery gets a little hotter then most phones (which most wouldn't encounter with a case on it), and that the s-voice app is utter trash (but that's not an issue with the phone). Unless something drastically better then the rumored specs for the Note 3 hits the market then I'll definitely be picking up a note for my next mobile device....

    • There is a Grand Canyon-sized chasm between your opinion and the opinions of most former player hockey guys who do this for a living.
    • I can only imagine the **** eating grins on the committee right now. "Oh, Bama didn't deserve it? Oh, Miami didn't deserve it? Suck it, haters!" lol
    • To say that, is gaslighting, because it isn’t true. I mean, maybe one or two people do that but it isn’t the predominant behavior. Even Frank has given him credit. I think particularly the Rams game. A couple of glowing posts.   I know I have. Gotta be honest about it because if you aren’t it undermines what else you say.  But the degree of how far I go with credit, in terms of it being a projection of future performance? Not very far. Acknowledge it, but require more of it. There is a lot of bad play to offset.    I tried to remain passive while the last 9 games (post ankle injury) played out. It is just really hard when the lows won’t go away. I failed. As high as a couple of those highs were, there isn’t enough.    I know it is premature to just say I want to move on, made my decision after 6 of those games ended up pretty much really good or not good enough, but I have had enough of being patient and letting him show the reality either way.  So in my view, he Could still validate himself to a decent degree if he smokes the last three starts. But also in my view I don’t expect to see it. Maybe one more high quality start, would be my expectation. So yes he could still somehow justify having the job next year. If that happened I still wouldn’t have much faith given the last three years and all that has transpired. Again, there is a lot of bad play to offset.
