Why the Panthers need to cut DeAngelo Williams

What has DeAngelo done when he wasn't playing the worst defensive unit in NFL history of late that has impressed?

What has Stewart done? Or Tolbert? or any Panthers running back? Maybe it's the line and the system instead of 3 guys that could run the ball damn well until our oline and scheme? Stewart came from a read option offense in college. Why aren't you for talking smack about him sucking this year?

We get angry when critics blame everything on Cam when it was really the lines fault, yet we pick on a RB to put all the blame on when that player can't find running lanes. Huddle logic.

We aren't putting "all of the blame" on Deangelo, he just isn't earning his contract. Cam isn't getting paid like a top 5 qb, like dwill is getting paid like a top 5 RB. Either he takes a pay cut or he hits the road.

Stewart was hurt this year. Question isn't about how good Stewart is....just if he can stay healthy.

Stewart if healthy is the ideal RB. He can grind out 4 yards. He doesn't go down immediately....he goes forward through bodies. He can handle every thing Cam needs from a RB.

He is young. If he can't go we should be relaying on Tolbert and a cheap backup option to get us through games. The double trouble clusterfug shouldn't of occurred. That isn't a knock on Williams.....just too many RBs. None can possibly earn their checks if they are healthy

Why should Williams be cut?

DeAngelo Williams - 1573 yards, 12 TDs.....that 2 yrs of games. A no name kid from Washington produced more in a single season. He gets paid to do in one season what he has done in two. Waste of money. Chud being gone won't change the fact Cam Newton is the head and shoulders best aspect of our rushing attack and Stewart and Tolbert both need reps.

Not about how good he could be....about what he cost and does for us.

lol people fighting over rb when you have 6th round pick, alfred morris, out performing both in a "read option system". lol

build that oline and any rb you pick will be good.

It's really not where these guys were drafted at this point, (we've already suffered due to a lack of top talent at other positions).

It's the ridiculous fugging contracts Hurney gave to them which only further exaserbated the fact he used two of our #1 picks in a 3 year span on the RB position in the first place.

We're stuck paying DWill and Stew huge money, the arguement is which will return the most production since our hands are tied.

I'm sure most Panther fans would walk away from DWill or Stew or both if we had a choice to spend our cap dollars elsewhere.

We don't.

I'd like to know how he could've earned it with our line

And I'm sure the threat of RG3 taking off had nothing at all to do with it also.

    • You have gave the board some recent gold via posting. Heres my poor attempt at the truthful play-by-play of the time during post- I pulled out the old laptop to do my shitposting and check on websites. Open the huddle and see this new thread. Open thread and read CRAs post, {inner thinking, oooOOooo this is my lane and I got this}. Make sure not to scroll even to the 2nd post. 23% of current neurons still firing start up and two names appear- Captain and Josh....... about another 43 seconds past "O GOD" it's July 4th weekend and I got medicine to pick up. (If the laptop didn't give away my aging, the meds should...) I need to split, think long panther careers and the hint-  Ryan Kalil was a late 2nd and Pro bowls(even all-pros too) he's got to be OLman and Mikie Minter is among the all-time Panthers career leaders. Drop my post. Scramble to get keys, wallet, and phone. Check my phone- its 17% battery.....fug I now have to raw dog the pickup line and put the phone on charge.... Flip flops, sweat ringed filled hat, and shades acquired. Get in my pos rav4 and think about not running the A/C. Pull out the drive way and reach the 1st stop light, A/C is wide open. I check my shirt to see if there's any new stains on my house shirt, bush off the Bojangles salt that I see.... Neurons re-fire and focus on the comments CRA made that no one would get this....... Dang IT, that means it isn't Ryan Kalil or Mike Minter! CVS is close, but I know its impossible I get back withing 10 minutes to change my post and my phone is on the charger. {Think you monkey, at one point you were a draft nerd}. Reach the CVS line, by some grace its not 5 cars deep during 5 o'clock traffic hell. Im second in line after the car in front of me both turn in, they have to go back and forth to line up while Im a pro for that geometry. Neurons finally reach peak performance as Ive re-thought draft classes. Think obscure and unknown 7th rounders with long careers. Some Sunday/Monday night member berry fell out of my Melon, Will montgomery during the players intros for washington. I thought he out of the league and was shocked to see him still playing around the 2015 years. I do a goggle background check and that refreshed memory. Pick up the meds and enjoy the sweet smelling cool CVS air. Driving back and check in on one of the local bums at the big stop light, wow he's got a new fancy rug. Think about all the old food I got and need to start giving it away and rethink it. Reach home and post a follow up and I know Minter is wrong too, I check the draft history and see Robert Mcclain. Too late, but that would have been my guess....open CRAs link and get "upset" at the DBs name.
    • THANKS my guy! Keeping up with this threads theme, if I view a thread and there's only 20 posts and some time passes. If I see there's one new post and read the name; @Dave Gettleman's Shortsis among the chosen few that I will reopen that thread just to see what you posted.    Thanks again, plus not just a scout, thats scotty mccloughans son?!?!? If not for the deep claws of booze, scotty is among the best talent finders this league has recently had. Last I heard he ran a consulting business. Caden could be one of those who's on a early path to being a GM in the future. I was a big fan of his dad, dam shame about booze demon ruining his career.
