Azusa Pacific, never even heard of it. Damn. WCU sure has fallen a long way since the mediocre days we had in the late 80's to mid-90's. We had pro days when I was there. Shout out to my alumni bro's that made it to the Super Bowl: Willie Williams, Tony Jones, Dave Patton, Hoover

Suck it App State. Enjoy the Sun Belt.

I went to App. It was awesome "playing" you guys. Armanti ran wild. hahahahahaha.

sorry

We had some good games in my time at Western. You guys had Dexter Coakley at the mike back then. When I signed with them in '93 we were preseason #1 and then crapped the bed to finish 7-4.

Now to not even have a pro day.... :-(

Yea if i'm completely honest. Western is kind of a joke now, don't know what happened to them.

Sorry SCP

I played at WCU--i am older--went to National Championship vs. Southern Illinois. My teammates were Clyde Simmons (All pro, Eagles), Dean Biasucci (All Pro, Colts), Tiger Greene (Packers) and Louis Cooper (Chiefs).

I know Clyde. He went to my high school and would come back during his days with the Eagles and work out with us.

I'm telling you, for a small school Western has has some good pro's. More than App can claim.

This means more than any pro's App can claim.

This was a Superbowl to us.

    • It's definitely a historical issue at QB but to be perfectly blunt, we also don't do a good job of really developing almost any position if you look at the last decade or so. I tend to be on the side of that being far less a development issue than an evaluation deficiency.  I think we are in the situation at QB2/3 recently due to the overall roster being absolutely abhorrent and the QB classes being quite thin. It is harder to justify another Matt Corral(or several) when you can potentially get a real two deep contributor at other positions.  But, it was a lot of hard work to get to the point where are roster is so incredibly bad that luxury picks literally are not in our vocabulary.  This is the reaping what you sow portion of our history.
    • That is what I meant about our front office. They are like someone filling out a March Madness bracket based on preference of uniform colors and mascots. There's no rhyme of reason to some of these fugg'n mind numbing decisions they make.  They go all in on these flimsy-@ss prospects and are gun shy when it comes to more solid prospects.  It's literally maddening and the reason I stopped being so emotionally involved in this team. Heck the only reason I'm active on the board today is one, it's my day off and two, it's cut down time.
