They are teh suck.

This is my my second one and they've been in the past 3 years

The pain is horrible. Luckily Urgent Care got me in quickly and I was able to get pain killers within about an hour

On the bright side, I'm home sick today on pills so I can post all I want! ;)

A little gem like this is currently tearing through my organs

I'm sorry to hear it Boo...been there, don't that.

first time I ever had one I went from feeling fine to being doubled over in pain, sweating like crazy in about 10 minutes! First time in I don't know how long that I was in so much pain I wanted to vomit. Went to emerg....got hit up with with some major pain killers than managed to at least numb the pain for a while and some anti inflammatories that seemed to help. Within a few hours, I was feeling ok. Worst part of it all is I don't think I ever did pass it so it's still sitting in the kidney, waiting to strike again...or, hopefully, it broke up and fuged off!!!!

fluids, fluids and more fluids! Cranberry is supposed to help minimize them!

Good luck

Wifey's had them twice. Said they were worse than birth. Worse than birth for her meant worse than pushing for almost 12 hours, eventually having her abdomen sliced open, her entrails piled up on her belly, having my son pulled from her womb, vomiting on the DR floor, and having everything returned to her gut and being sewn up.

You're welcome for the visual, but I do pity the pain you are/were going through!

Get well soon!

An older fella told me he had them and his doc said (despite mmmbeans good advice to avoid them) to get a six pack of the old Cokes in 8oz bottles and drink them all in one sitting.

Something about the carbonation in those bottled drinks gets the stones moving, opens up the narrow urethra and let's them pass. Good luck.

    • Bryce has been in the NFL 3 years and still looks like a very mediocre QB. Most games are nothing but mediocre plays with a highlight reel every now and then.  He is a very INCONSISTENT QB and it’s very fustrating. He does not deserve a 5th year option, even though the Panthers and all the dumb asses in the front office will give it to him.
    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
