My trade is with the 49ers.

Our 14th pick for their 31st (1st), 34th (2nd) and the 74th (3rd).

Reason: They can get a wr to replace Moss and Ginn and can't use 15 picks because of their roster being full already..

1st round (31) Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina

2nd (34) Eris Reid Safety LSU

2nd (44) David Amerson CB NCSU

3rd (74) Kenny Stills WR OU

Yea, I have to be honest I'm not a huge fan of your choices. The trade seems realistic enough as far as mock trades go. Here'd be my choices at your trade's picks:

1st. Hunter or Hopkins

2nd. Hankins (if this mythical drop of his proves true) or Warford

2nd. Rambo

3rd. Oday Aboushi, some other OT (or OG if we didn't take Warford in the 2nd) or one of the plethora of possible 2nd round CBs that slide to the 3rd

Goodsen will prob not even be around in the 4th much less the 6th.

With 3 picks in the first two rounds no way in hell we dont grab a WR.

Id switch Sly for Hopkins. Reid for Short since you got Hughes late and Amerson for Thomas or Taylor

In all honesty I don't know if Gooden will be there either that's my luck pick.

I don't think Hopkins is going to make it the 31st pick anymore.

Last I love Reid at Safety and he really might not be there at 34 anymore. And I know Amerson had a down year but he has the size and speed to be better in the pro's.

1. I wanted to put Hunter or Hopkins there but some of the teams on front of us could go with a WR.

Example The Pats would love to add a Hunter or Hopkins.

2. Hankins is a 2 down player right now and I really want a vet Guard not another rookie this year.

3. Rambo is a FS and I think Rivera loves Godfrey there. Plus Reid is better.

4. I know OT is important now. But I just didn't like one in the 3rd.

not going to lie, I really don't like the first two picks.....would much rather have

1st Cyprien

2nd Hankins

2nd Rodgers

although I would love the trade, and that is pretty realistic

1. I like Cyprein but I wanted to go either WR or DT in the 1st. Plus Reid isn't a bad substitute.

.2. Williams can play NT because of his strength and UT because of his quickness and first step. He will be a better player then Hankins.

3. IMO Rogers is no different then Lafell. So I choose to go with the 4.3 speed deep threat Stills. Who is actually different from other WR's we have on the roster.

    • if  ANYONE actually goes & looks at the FACTS on rookie Qb's after 2 full seasons as a starter in the NFL & they are still well below average do they rarely ever actually become top tier Qb's & instead most likely either do not recieve a second contract & or become life long backups...just saying
    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
