Hannibal

I missed the red dragon reference?

More of an homage with the certain shots. From what the creator has said season two will be about the breakdown of Will and Hannibals “friendship” .

It will be interesting to see how exactly they fit will in given what happened to him in the season finale.

Didn't know there was a thread on this. I LOVE this show. Best part for me is how they didn't try to completely rehash the movie franchise for TV.  I like the reverse dynamic of Hannibal being the free man after slowly framing Will throughout the season.  You can tell this season was made as if they knew there was no guarantee for a 2nd season.  Can't wait to see the series continue.

NOT the best new show. That title goes to "The Americans" but this is a close second. I loved it. It was like a 13 episode long movie, and never felt like a TV show.

The Americans is a great show too.

I am watching it now. I'm on the forth episode, listed as an unaired episode.

Last week we told you that NBC and Bryan Fuller had decided to not air the fourth episode of Hannibal this week and instead to skip to number five. This was done for a number of reasons, but mostly because Bryan felt that it would be insensitive to air the episode at this time. NBC has decided to take the fourth episode and repackage it as an online web series called (Cannibalized) It doesn’t sound like the full episode will be featured, but rather short clips that will help bridge the narrative gap between episode three and five

Second season starts February 28.

1. Will Graham is in prison and everybody thinks he’s guilty: Fuller brilliantly subverted audience expectations at the end of season 1 by having FBI profiler Graham (Hugh Dancy) framed for Hannibal’s (Mads Mikkelsen) crimes when fans expected the show to follow Thomas Harris’ novels and have the cannibal psychiatrist end up in prison (he’ll get there, we assume, eventually). Graham hasn’t magically been released between seasons and he isn’t going to pop back into his old job after one episode (unlike, for instance, Patrick Jane on CBS’ The Mentalist). Graham is also going to be a much more focused and proactive character this season now that he’s no longer suffering from encephalitis and knows he’s not crazy. He’s going to actively try to get himself released, or at least take down Hannibal.
