I'm not trying to be downer here. But like I said. Why would Gettleman waste a 1st on him when we have Olsen as starter. Wouldn't make sense to draft another TE when we have other holes to fill. DT,OG,WR,S, and CB. Just don't see it happening. Yes it is nice to dream. But in reality it want happen on that day.

Tell that to new England who drafted Gradkowski and Hernandez. Truth is that having 2 tight ends that can play out wide and create mismatches like they would be able to do would make it very hard to defend. And it would actually allow us to develop the receivers we have.

Honestly I don't think Gettleman would waste a 1st round pick on this guy since we already have a TE in Greg Olsen. Pass!!

the fact that I want him is because we have Greg Olsen, we could run the two TE set like New England and play havoc with opposing defenses, we could run a 2-2-1 package and be unpredictable as hell, no team would ever know if we are going to run or pass because we could go 4 wide at any moment.

You want to talk about shock and awe that offense would be shock and awe

I'd still take Hopkins but I love that pick. Him at 14 and Hopkins at 44. Can you say elite offense?

i think we go WR or TE in the first two but we won go WR/TE in both I think one will be offense and one would be defense.

Skill position talent like Wr and TE usually falls off after the first round while defensive positions drop off too but not as much as offense. So I think we go Wr/TE in the first and DT/S/CB in the second

I'm not against drafting another TE to help out. But with other bigs holes we need to fill as the starting position. TE is down on the list at this time. Difference between NE and us. That their team is already SB caliber and our is far from it. NE can afford to go after a TE in the 1st. While right at this second we can't afford it. Again I'm not against it, but we have other pressing needs right now. We need to address the secondary, DT, OG, and even at WR.

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
