Draft chat with Joe Person...

To be fair Hatter, he doesn't have to agree with me. It'd be nice if he agreed with himself, though. Some of his inconsistencies are kinda head scratching.

I kinda got that from him today. He definitely has his opinions, but when it comes to the team and what they are thinking I honestly believe he doesn't have a clue or simply doesn't care to. It almost sounded to me like he didn't want to be wrong so he just kinda played both sides of the fence or was really vague.

I'd be okay with "vague". Predicting the draft tends to be about as easy as predicting the weather. Being wrong isn't that big a deal since quite a lot of people usually are.

Being uninformed, when it's your job to know this stuff, that I have an issue with. Especially if it's true he doesn't really care.

    • I'm salty every time I see someones mid picks become stars while we throw first and second rounders over and over and they all stink outside of Tet (who still has a lot to prove, imo)
    • There is a contingent that is total Bryce but they weathervane with the wind. When the good Bryce wind blows about once or twice a month we hear a lot from them. But they are always pro Bryce, they just don’t pipe up too much when he sucks. I can’t speak for them, as far as what they are looking at.    In a second contingent, the collective mind is made up. He has had had basically three years worth of starts that might include a top tier outing or two, a few second tier outings, offset by about the same number of bottom tier outings which actually may have the edge there.  The rest of his stuff is third tier and that is going to be the bulk of his starts. We want to move on. And we aren’t getting off of that hill until he puts us off of it. He has not.    There is a third contingent that has no conviction and definitely weather vanes. Bryce is good. Bryce isn’t good. Depending on the latest game. They will buy into 7 on 7 success so that should tell you something.
    • Nacua is really fuging good. He might be a better version of Cooper Kupp.
