that its easy for reporters to sell the idea of Cam being immature.

Honestly this is something Cam will likely have to endure throughout his career. It will motivate him.

Oh, and there will be no more bypassing of the Timmy filter!

I am telling you that Cam has turned a major corner in his development as a QB and leader on this team.

You saw it late last season.  His decision making seemed quicker.....he was more decisive.....his TD to Int ratio was phenomenal....his demeanor was more even keel (even though the fire within him has not changed).

It usually takes a couple of seasons for a QB to hit his stride....and I believe Cam is definitely there.

I 100% expect him to show the league what we already know....that he is not only an incredible athlete, but is a great leader of this team.

Yup. By the end of the year, Cam was the leader of this team. It was Cam that gave the last speech of the year.

The light went on for Cam. You could see him having fun again. He even seemed more relaxed at Pressers. He knew. They knew he knew. Now we get to watch as he shows everyone else. He gots this.

    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
