Panthers won't cut Armanti Edwards anytime soon

In addition, its not like he would catch on quickly with another team. They did Keiser a favor by cutting him early. He may be able to catch on to another team. But when the Panthers are done with Armanti he will be in the CFL. Probably do REALLY well there

But the Patriots probably still want him...  We should cut him now so he can flourish elsewhere.

I read it. and after reading again, I still think it's a opinion. lol... he may get to run around in camp but there is no way he has a spot this season. in your opinion give me the WR roster spots...

In the OP, Zod said he'd be cut. Just one of the final cuts. He in no way implied that AE would make the 53...

I feel bad for Armanti. I don't feel like he gets his fair share of opportunities and it may be is selflessness that gets in the way of that. He has the moves to be good and I'm tired of you guys saying the dude is slow. He's as fast and has better agility than Pilares yet you guys want to keep him because Kealoha has a cool name. So he got caught by the punter, that doesn't mean he can't be a good WR.

David Gettis's biggest play was on a blown coverage yet his ass gets crowned  here all the time. Or is that because he ran a 4.3? Armanti makes a huge play but he's slow because he didn't score. Not every WR in the league will out run everyone. Somes guys have different skill sets and different ceilings. We need all the bodies we can get at WR, if theres any potential in them at all that's a good thing.

I don't expect much out of Edwards this year but I do know that when players start to come around they make plays, whether it happens to be a defensive mistake or a chance play they end up doing something nice. I'd rather cut Pilares and see who wins between Joe Adams and Armanti. Both of those guys are more talented.

I agree, it wasn't his fault we drafted him as high as we did. He did seem to give it his all, though, and I never heard anything bad about his work ethic.

I guess he just wasn't meant to be a WR. It is unfortunate, because he made some nasty plays in college. Just didn't translate to the NFL.

For those of you looking on the wires for Armanti's name, its not going to happen.

Edwards is a great camp player. He is always on time, pays attention, gives all he has got. They need guys like him so that they have enough WRs to conduct a full camp and evaluate QBs and DBs. AE has the respect of all the players and coaches.

I don't believe he will make the team this year. Look for him to be one of the last cuts made in August.

If he can't earn it at camp, then he gets cut; I wouldn't count him out though.

    • If you need someone to run your multi-billion dollar business, maaayyyybe don't hire a guy whose previous work experience includes repeated blows to the head and literal brain damage but IDK.
    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
