Nice Article on Kuechly "Composing" our Defense (NFL.com)

I wish I had done my homework.  I wanted Cox or so bad I could taste it.  Even Poe would have whetted my appetite.  Kuechly may be the greatest pick the Carolina Panthers have EVER made.

I am all in on Luke.

Can't a player with 3800 yards passing and 850 yards rushing in a 'sophomore  slump' get any respect in this league anymore. We act like we're used to those numbers. Yes, I'm a Cam defender.

Wow, you really pulled that one out of nowhere.  This is a thread about Luke Kuechly and he gave Keek props, we don't have to throw a Cam praise in every post, we all know he's the poo.

I'm a Cam defender too, but he had 741 rushing yards.

Well, Kuechly's success is great for the team but to be labelled "greatest pick the Carolina Panthers have EVER made" in a team with Cam on it, he better be a sack machine DE or shut down corner because this is a passing league, my friend.

Beason willingly has ceded his leadership role because he believes the 2012 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year is already "the best in the league" at middle linebacker. "You look at Luke and you say this kid is exceptional -- this kid can play," Beason said last month. "So I'm like, well let's get out there and be great together."

Props to Beason. That is an amazing attitude.

Ummm...I am too.  Cam had no slump in my opinion and I am constantly on here asking us to choose wisely in all we do between now and the next 2 years so that we can wrap up Cam to a 10 year extension.

No need to defend Cam to me.

All I needed to read was ...

"With the retirements of bone-crushing hitters Ray Lewis and Brian Urlacher, Carolina Panthers leading tackler Luke Kuechly is becoming the new model for the middle linebacker..."

I'm curious as to what that model is. I don't get it. Other than being a talented player, I don't get the specific model he fits in.

Are we sure Beason is going to the Will spot?

All the reports have me a little confused.

I doubt anything will be etched in stone until we see Beason  on the field competing. He had two serious injuries and may never be close to his old self.

I don't either....its not as though the position has changed dramatically.

Well, if it's not athletically related, as neither of us can figure it out, it has to be some racial undertone bull crap. They just wanna say white players can find their niche in the MLB position. The media, specifically sport media, sometimes can't help it.
