Kanye's New Album Yeezus Leaked

rap's just about run its course. there's still some good stuff coming out, but unless you spend hours of free time trawling through all the crap coming out to find the good stuff you're not finding it, and it's just gotten way too mainstream and homogeneous at this point

You have to search the trenches man. You don't even necessarily need to spend hours looking, you just need to know where to look. There's a ton of quality stuff still coming out.

For the guys here that love their classic stuff, I'd recommend some Prince Ea and Dyme A Duzin. Classic sound with a modern feel, quality music.

Lyrics are lacking, production value is extremely high but I can't say I'm a huge fan of the industrial direction.

7.5/10

Bound 2 and Blood on the Leaves are amazing.

Personally I'm a big Kendrick fan, I like Ab-Soul and Schoolboy-Q too. Jay Rock gets slept on.

So far this year Born Sinner was pretty solid from J. Cole; it was a little overhyped but still good. I bump Crooked Smile, great summer song. Indigoism from the Underachievers was excellent. I'm a big fan of Logic too. There's still a lot of talent out there, especially some that hasn't blown up. Check out Hello Forever (album) by the Pro Letarians. Lastly, anything Beast Coast/Pro Era is pretty good too. I'm not a big Odd Future fan.

Lol Danny Brown... The new craze is Chance The Rapper, except he's actually really enjoyable.

I love Danny Brown, he's hilarious.

Chance is pretty good but the circlejerking over his skill is rapidly approaching Yeezus levels.

Ayyy Beast Coast repping. Underachievers are pretty good. I'm still on Portrait of Donavan by Dymez and Phonyland by Phony PPL from that crew though, prefer those two over Joey's stuff and Underachievers, Flatbush Zombies, etc. I like your style though.

danny brown isn't some gimmick rapper and in fact Old is one of the most anticipated albums of the year so it would be appreciated if you wouldn't compare him to chance, tia

I wasn't comparing them at all. Chance is very good, Danny Brown is a joke. The only comparison I made was the sudden craze each of them garnered all of the sudden.

Never liked his music, and lost all respect I had for him when he got a blow job in the middle of a performance on stage at a concert. That's just disgusting and totally disrespectful to his fans.

But of course hip-hop is all opinion based, so your thoughts on the two artists are all up to you.

Lyrically, hip-hop has hit a wall and most likely will never rebound.

That's why Kanye sucks. Among most others, unless like some have pointed out, you dig deep.

Edit: my bad, when I said hit a wall, I meant going 500mph in that murci, murci, murcielago...

    • 6 pages of tuka and Seltzer arguing is actually 97 pages long
    • 100%. And these same people will claim you have an agenda. You can't have it every way. We had the lowest rated defense in the league last year. Statistically the worst ever. By PFF grades (for whatever that's worth- but they are readily accepted, used, and conveyed by most "reputable" sources), the defense was the worst ever. Not only that, PFF rated our receiving corp the worst in football last season. The absolute worst... out of 32 teams. Which is why regardless of the lip service Canales and Morgan paid to the current guys, they knew it would be criminal not to give Bryce more help. People fixating on team stats and not taking these things into context are stupid, plain and simple, and I'm for one thankful they're not running this team (or probably anything for that matter bc they obviously can't discern reality. Again, going back to the eyeball test these Narrative Nancies seem to hate so much, did they not see the windows Bryce was putting balls into? Have the generally not watched much NFL? Please, please show me the film where all these NFL QBs are making throws like this to this point Bryce was "below average" down the stretch compared to them. Bryce made more wow throws in that 3 game stretch of the Bucs, Chiefs, and Eagles than every other QB combined in all the years since since Cam got hurt I genuinely am baffled by people that can watch throws like that and act like it's nothing. I guarantee you Steve Spagnola, Todd Bowles, and and Vic Fangio didn't think it was nothing after watching the little guy torch them with players those teams would be embarrassed to trot out at the skill position players. The national media spent all year making excuses for Mahomes not having elite weapons when he had multiple 1st & 2nd round talents at the skill positions along with future HoFers in Kelce and Hopkins. Bryce wasn't throwing for 300 yards every week with David Moore and Adam Theilen in spite of jaw dropping throws and you want to say the guy played below average. For those people, again, we ain't watching the same sport. And the name calling doesn't change that... The vitriol and projection... it's off the effing charts with these people.
    • "Well you see if you remove this terrible game that terrible game this other terrible game and then focus on these games you'll see he's actually one of the better QB's in the league and he's actually as good as Jayden Daniels". My god this place is delusional. I love it.
