So the police are trying to pin a crime on me?

I'll see how it goes before I call the lawyer, I really don't see how they could even connect me to a crime like this. Considering I have a million ways to prove it was not me.

Understand that police are like little tape recorders, if they charge you with anything, it will be based on twisting something you said. The reason they keep asking you questions is because they are looking for you to contradict some tiny detail and then use that against you to say you know more than you're saying etc. Treat every interview like its in front of a jury and use the least details words necessary and don't volunteer any extra info.

Don't keep answering the same question differently, use the same words every time. My Dad was the Cardiologist for the local dept and I know most of the guys in charge and I know all their tactics.

It's kinda like when they suspect a person in a car is up to no good, but they have no legal reason to stop them. They will quickly swerve in behind them and tailgate them until the person gets unnerved and swerves, slams brakes, swerves slightly out of lane, etc. Bottom line, any charges you get today will be from something you say since they believe you are involved, they may even lie to you and say a family memeber or friend implicated you. You have a right to remain silent, use it.

I would have had a lawyer and already filed a complaint. Would have video taped everything I could.

Do people even say "video tape" anymore?

All they have done is interviewed someone multiple times and been rude at worst. Usually in these cases, the responding office takes first details. Then a shift manager may also take another interview. If the case is serious enough, ie multiple properties involved and not just misdemeanor, the detectives will be involved and they will come take an interview. Then if the case crosses s shift change, the new detectives or officers may make another interview, Also it is common as they interview neighbors, they go back to original person to corroborate detail. Doesn't appear to be anything to file a complaint with a lawyer, and a complaint will go nowhere and it will just put a bigger target on his family than already has, Many cops are mental midgets that abuse the power they are given. It also may make him look more guilty in cops eyes.

This will sound from left field but stick with me. This is the 4th or 5th type case that I have heard either in person or the web.

I had a client in a northern state who was convinced he was being targeted by the cops because of the.....VALUE of his home. He believed that someone wanted his lots but at a cheaper price. I sort put the convo in the mental rolodex but hear more and more stories that are similar. Sure its extreme and conspiracyish but nothing surprises me anymore.

He said the one cop is following around. I don't know the law but I wouldn't be surprised if this is beyond the "call of duty"

I would want legal advice

No man you are absolutely correct.. I didn't even get into but 10% of what the police have been doing to me the last year and a half. The cops here have always caused trouble but once we got a new police chief it's become a serious problem. My friends and friend of friends have been harassed much worse.

Get a small camera and start recording your interactions with the cops so you have something against them.  Everybody in russia has dashboard cams now so they cant be too expensive

To hell with that man, every week I hear about someone getting killed or arrested for recording the police, I don't even know if I'll be in this town for too much longer anyways.
