Maybe he knew Hurney had a feeling the situation would work out like this, and hasn't signed with anyone because he wants to come here, he's just been waiting for us to get to this point so we can sign Peppers, get under the cap, and work out a deal with him?

Or I'm hopelessly optimistic.

i don't think he's been sitting around. isn't he with an arena football team?

still...more and more i can see us going after him. the longer he goes without a team, the lower the price is, imo. demand isn't quite as high as his price tag indicated.

Are you talking about the dude who's been cut from his last 2 teams after being #3 OVERALL?

He got cut by the freaking Broncos, and their defense sucks.

He got cut because the Bronco's owed him 20 million on his last year of his rookie deal. He has the most sacks by a DT in the time period since he was drafted in 2003. Both team's switched defenses on him and that was the reason the Jet's traded him, and the Bronco's cut him.

      With the state of the OL the talent level of the opposing team and the venue it would be a small miracle if we don't turn the ball over let alone sustain drives. We squandered 8 drives against the winless Jets.

      I don’t have the energy right now. Not finished licking my wounds and complaining.  Preliminary thoughts … Loss. The awakening of rolling with RICO is a week late and they will shut our running game down (I watched some video and our receivers are sucking at their blocking assignments for the most part. Which most receivers do). It will be on Bryce to carry us through the air. Big test for him, good luck   I can’t do scores. We’ll lose the game not sure it will be that close.

      It will go one of two ways and depends who plays in the game. Canales gets his head out of his ass and starts Dowdle. Young manages to start. Cade Mays and Damien Lewis play. Running game gets going. Evero comes up with some scheme to slow down the Packers offense. The game is close but the Panthers lose an excruciating one at the end.  They haven’t put together a good game against a good opponent yet so I’m going to wager this will be an epic massacre. 50+ to 10 After what we saw against the Bills I have little hope for option A and fully expect option B.
