ESPN 8 pm: Carolina @ Baltimore

Do we make Joe Flacco look like Tom Brady with our genius cover 2 and cover 3 defense?

Does Cam continue to throw the ball like he's playing backyard football?

Is the offensive line able to open up holes on straight dive plays, muscle versus muscle.

Can Gettis earn a #3 spot by continuing to play well( this week against the ones).

Does Star finally not get a double team and bring down Ray Ray with his pinky?

Does Shula show a little bit more on offense? Smith in the slot, motion, misdirection, anything to show that Jeff Davidson is not back.

Does Kenjon get back up reps instead of Armond Smith?( for crying out loud, even Poole over Smith.)

Who does Steve Smith bend over his knee and spank first?

All my questions. However meaningless and shallow many may be, I think they are decent.

I'll take OMGWTF for $100 alex

How about contribute or gtfo. There have been numerous threads talking about how bad we are, yet none talking about how fortunate we are the one preseason game that might mean anything is against the Ravens. They are not who they were last year but their front 7 is solid and they have the other QB ESPN loves to hate.

Harbaugh is a good coach and I think this week will be a decent prelude to our opener. Plus it's on ESPN who showed no love for Joe Flacco until February. They also absolutely ruined any credibility they had left by ranking Cam as the 100th best offensive player.

I think Cam comes out focused and mad this week because of that ranking. He can say it doesn't affect him all he wants but that is just too big to ignore for any player who wants to be recognized as a great QB.

Cam Newton is never gonna look like Brady....big play QBs don't carve up defenses routinely.

There will always be some hot or coldness to him....could be from quarter to quarter or game to game.

The question was will Joe Flacco look like Tom Brady. I want Cam to come out and play with timing, and be aware of the defense. It was better last week but still wasn't where it needs to be.

What really amazes me is how little everyone cares about this game. Everyone always talks about not getting respect or enough primetime games. Here we go.

this is like the 4th possibly more, version of the same thread. here are some of the others. its not a contribution when the same poo has been stated many times over in other threads.   your questions could have easily gone in one of those.

"What we are looking for. Preaseason Week 3 edition."

"Preseason Gameday Research: Ravens Edition"

"If we look bad against the Ravens, hit the panic button."

They died for a reason. However I'm not surprised there's more discussion about how bad we are or what scrubs have been cut by other teams when we have a game tomorrow.

Bottom line is, I don't care. And I'm on my phone and it was easier to add a new thread that hasn't been derailed yet.

will the espn app on xbox live be showing the game? I've never used it and I don't have cable.

I honestly don't know. But if you have Verizon and have a smart phone plan, download NFLmobile. It's free for articles and to watch NFL network it's 5 dollars a month and it uses your data. Buttt you get to watch MNF Sunday night football Thursday night football and nfl red zone.

I think you could watch it on your Xbox though.

    • The good news is that we are pretty uniquely well established to address all of our needs this season. We have $14m real cap space, and something like $40m in trade deadline cap space. Not sure exactly how that works out. But, we have the room to absorb any bad contracts. With recent rule changes regarding retention, that went into effect this season, we now have a huge advantage in the trade market.  On top of that, while we do have obvious needs, we also have a glut of talent in certain areas that we struggle to find ice time for. We are over-stocked on scrappy talented lil-guys, strong defensively sound 3rd liners and shutdown left shot dmen. Whether it's a package or separate deals, idk. But, one of each from Stank/Blake/Nads, Erob/Carrier/KK/Jank, and Walker/Nystrom; throw in some 1st round picks (and frankly any other prospects they want) and we should be able to come out with a 1b to pair with Bussi and either a 2c with size or a 2c and size.   TL/DR We got the money, you got the stuff?
    • I don’t  think 6’4 was ever considered small or undersized. Baby hands tho, yes that was his thing That’s an interesting idea, like an optical illusion? Sounds like you have personal experience with this!
    • in the 25' draft the Carolina Panthers had hired Brandt Tillis someone who actually understood how to build a successful team & build through the draft .  this team was yes mismanaged for years prior to Brandt Tillis joining the team in 25' & rarely done anything right in the draft outside occaionaly getting lucky on an UDFA such as Jalen Coker who's dad coincidentally happened to be a huge Carolina Panthers fan, hint hint  ...just saying
